The cats are circling so I probably won't be able to type in a minute. I've been known to have 2 cats and a laptop on my knee in one go.

I'm on my 3rd NSD. Although we did go out for a cheap meal and OH paid on the joint account card. Does it still count...

Today £300 whizzed into the monthly saver. Yay.

I'm making Mr P give me the money for his flights so the holiday does not totally mess up my financial plans.

If the weather holds out I would like to get in the garden again. I'm off to look up how to make a cheap cloche.

Last weekend Mr P forgot to bid on a fleabay dress I wanted for a wedding later in the year. That one was a lovely purple colour but another came up; this time in black. The dress is beautiful. But black! For a wedding! Plus I don't know what size I will be in a few months. Should I wait and see what else comes up?

BTW, I have loved this dress for years. The purple one went for £20; RRP £180.

If you've loved it for years and there is a chance you'll get it for £20 then buy it for yourself - not for a wedding IFSWIM. Once you've got it then you can decide if it's suitable or not.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

    Get it! :D
  • Go for it. Who cares these days if ur wearing black for a wedding. Anyway, you can always "Summer" it up with accessories like a scarf or a flower in bold bright colours with shoes to match.

Oh my goodness; all of you are a bad influence. Is everyone needing a money blowout from all the OPing?

I'm keeping an eye on the dress. It's currently at £8.50 with 3 bids.

    Yes!

It sounds like it will be a steal if you do go for it though :)

The dress is now £11 with less than a day to go...

Last night I dragged Mr P outside and made him turn the compost. The best of the rotted stuff went on the raised beds and last years veggies bag compost went on top. My vegetable seeds have disappeared  I did however have 1 packet of carrot seeds that went out of date a year ago. So I planted them all in the hope some are viable. And I went a bit crazy with the lettuce seeds. The bad news is the watering can rose perished so I need to buy a new one.

Exercise update: I'm at 112km (70m) for the month meaning I'm 55km (98m) behind target. I could go crazy on the exercise bike. I'll see how I'm feeling later today. How is everyone else getting on?

We had family round yesterday; I must have ate 10 or more biscuits just because they were there. Not good.

I'm under target too :( 4.7miles under already (i'm running my month 20th-19th) need to try and make that up if I can but it's coming up to my busy week at work so not sure there'll be enough time! Good luck in trying to catch up a bit..

I love biscuits but don't buy them because i'd eat too many, although I've found an acceptable alternative - 1 banana mashed and a cup of oats mixed with nuts or dried fruit and then baked - not calorie free but certainly a lot better for you than bought biscuits!

Good luck with the dress x
