Thanks Newgirly for your message. I'm feeling a lot better today. No crying so far. By Saturday I hope I can plaster a smile on my face and ask all the questions you are supposed to. She knows we were trying for a family but we've not talked about it since the beginning; nor does she know about my MC. It's good to hear your friends now have children. I just wish the process was quicker.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

I've been mulling over an idea for a few days. Before I go on I will warn you that it could be years before we do it.
We live on the train line of a famous event. I won't give more information about what the event is. I've heard of other famous events where the people who live nearby rent out their houses for the duration of the event. And I want to find out if there would be any interest in my house being rented and if it would be financially be worth it.
So I'm wondering:- What's the event market? Locals, non-locals, where do they stay, how much are they willing to pay.
- Where are these properties advertised and what cut the advertiser takes?
- What are the insurance and tax implications?
- How much would it cost for us to move out and stay somewhere else?

Buying presents in the sales really does work. I bought a smellies gift set in January for half price and a birthday has come up. Plus I wrapped it in free paper and a free ribbon and bought 5 cards for £1. Until recently I would have spent £2.50 on 1 card. Now the cards are in a draw waiting for those last minute birthdays. You can see I'm more excited about this than others would get.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Well it's been a lovely day.
Next door made me smile; the lady of the house was singing loud to Elaine Paige. We went on a 7km walk, adding to the 15km already walked in the week. No cycling at all this week so I'm 15km behind where I should be now.
Financially it has been a NSD. But the next few days will be expensive. We're going to book a holiday abroad for autumn/winter time. I'm not sure which account/pot the money will come from.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Hi Newgirly, thanks for posting. We're going to a friends wedding in the sun. It's not somewhere I would choose to go but it's something to look forward to and some winter sun to warm my bones. I'm already looking forward to the pool.
We went to our fertility specialist appointment this morning. This time my blood levels came back as being fine. I have to have an operation to check my insides; hopefully it will be sooner than later.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Well, the plane tickets have been purchased. At the last moment I paid for them by credit card to get the cover and to delay payment.
I'm finally getting used to having a mobile phone on contract. I'm using it now rather than when we get charged extra on the land line.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
