Those figures are better then my 10Mb virgin connection (except pingrate which is very poor). I cant get my head around why your pcs are 'crawling' along (Unless its varying?)
Not so good considering it's a 50meg connection.
Wish I knew, but trying to access wifeless on my laptop, HTPC and iphone is just a waste of time.
If it were one PC, I'd think the PC had a problem. But it's all of them, so I highly doubt they've all developed a wifi problem at the exact same time.
I'm back down to 2meg now, that 11meg was the highest I've been in a week.Sigless0 -
Id post on the forum from post #8 if I were you
Clearly phoning india isnt going to help matters
Id send your varying stats to prove the lines all over the place:idea:0 -
Ive had problems(so have others i know who are on VM) lately as well, i tried the status page and said there were no faults, what im saying is that im just going to ride it out
i cant say what its like during the day but ive noticed at night it gets terrible,0 -
The last time I phoned 151 (Probably beginning of last year or so) the sound english bloke started off with the usual - check your router etc etc
before hed got 10 words out I said something like -
"mate, I know computers inside and out. I know what protocol is but please just check my line for me as im 99.9% sure theres a problem"
There was a pause as he was a little taken aback, then said 'ok'
Then there was a bit of shock in his voice when he admitted there was a problem
So clearly the guys on 151 have various means to test the line and my advice is if your sure theres a problem, get THEM to check it whilst bypassing whatever rubbish they ask for first.:idea:0 -

thats good,
last time i called VM it was during the day to setup the new modem i was sent and i spoke to an english guy and he was fab, explained what to do but if it was a foreign guy then im not sure i would understand what he was saying0 -
If you haven't got their phone line are you on VM fibreoptics for BB as I didn't think you could get 50mb on a twisted pair line ???
Regardless; when I had problems in the past I found that raising a message on www.nthellworld.co.uk sorted my issues straight away.
Their techies are on there pretty much continuously.0 -

Yes it's fiber optic. I don't have a VM phone line.
I can't get through to anyone English to ask them to run the line test. I asked the indian guy I spoke to last who said he can't do that as there's no problem with my line.Sigless0 -
Have you tried nthellworld? It's free to register.
There are a couple of threads on there complaining about issues with 50mb at the moment.0 -
The Indian call centres' knowledge and systems might not be as good as the UK, but come on, if you are having trouble communicating with them then don't you think it might be your English skills that are lacking? They speak to dozens of other people each day who have no problem.0
