burtons angel, sounds like you had a magical day too. Pics please! My OH also surprised me with his speech. He's not usually very good at being mushy, but he had me practically sobbing! Boys, you gotta love 'em...

I also need to get our thank you cards out this week, and then get on with designing our photobook too. We're using Blurb for those.

And after that I guess it really is back to normality!

Thanks wanchai! Honeymoon was lovely, thank you - some much-needed five-star R&R in Malta. It's back to reality now though!

How are your plans going - can't be long now? I must dip into the July board to see how you're all doing! x

Hi everyone, how are we all getting on with married life??

Glad everyone's day went well, all your pics look amazing!

We were married on the 26th May, quite possibly the hottest day EVER! Had a fantastic day, I can't believe it was over a month ago now. Then we had a fab honeymoon in Italy, and can't wait to go back!!

I was totally calm and collected on the morning of the wedding, right up until about 15 mins before I was due to leave the house - earlier in the day I had text OH to check he had got his button hole etc, check everything was ok at the venue. And he replied saying 'everything is perfect, just like you'...and that totally set me off!

Trying to upload some pics but not having much luck at the moment, will keep trying though!

My username may change shortly too, as I am no longer a 'bride2be' lol! Just waiting on the nice people at MSE towers changing it for me!

Our fab cake. It was made by my mums friend, and the cake toppers were from a lady on ebay. OH didn't know that I had one made of our dog too, he loved it!

wanchai, I don't think I have any tips to add to what I put on the 'married ladies' wisdom' thread. The main one is probably to make sure you relax on the day, enjoy yourself and take it all in. It really will whizz by in a flash! Hope it all goes brilliantly. xx

Ooooh I haven't been on in a while so it's lovely to see some more pics! I don't know about all the other 26th brides, but each Saturday since the wedding, do you observe the weather & think 'wow - we really did have the hottest day of the year?!!'

We did a mini-moon to Paris straight after the wedding which was lovely. Although quite hectic. It was tough to focus on life post-wedding so we neglected sorting currency, researching places to eat, places to visit etc. There was a mad rush on the Monday morning after the wedding and it all felt a bit disorganised! We had some really generous gifts from our guests (we asked for cash towards a honeymoon) so last weekend we booked our big honeymoon - and we are off to Mexico for 2 weeks in November. We can't wait!

And I am absolutely loving married life. I love that life is exactly the same. Nothing has really changed - except my surname, and we now have some lovely photos in our living room, I have some extra bling for my left hand, and I have time. Time to sit on the sofa in my pjs; time to paint my toenails & watch movies; time to read! My (now) husband bought me a Kindle for my birthday and I have read 10 books since the wedding! I had completely forgotten what relaxing was!!! No post-wedding blues for me. Although I may have to go back on the wedding diet...probably honeymoon diet now...my post-wedding binge meant I well & truly fell off the wagon. After months of dieting & worrying, I literally said 'yes' to everything edible & quaffable that came my way. My clothes are not thanking me. But wow, was it fun! I guess the honeymoon is over & it's time to return to the gym!!!

Collecting our prints and disk of photos on Saturday-can't wait! Then we have to pick shots for our album.

Thank you cards have finally been posted so album is the only wedding job left to do...and post photos on here, will do a thread with a few on next week
