They were definately different items as I managed to bag a FCUK sport holdall.

Im a bit dissapoiinted that he singing muffin is now £19, when I enquired last week it was £17 and online it is supposedly on the 75% sale where poepel have bagged it for £4.
Looks like Mr Boots is playing games!!

Im not complaining tho, because I have managed to get hold of a lot of toys in the sale.

Hi cheapstuff and Skibster. Thanks for the info about Oracle and Broad street branch. I might head out later today to have a look. So Broad Street is the better branch to go to ? Have the Oracle got anything worthwhile to pop into (do they have much of a clearance as well ?). I also need to 'spend' my No7/R&M vouchers, which is the better store for these products ? Thanks in advance.

Someone has tried doesn't work :(
  • I take great exception to the posters who think that some of us are greedy for spending vast amounts in the sale. Yes i spent £250, but virtually none of this was for myself. I have already given a large bagful away to a friend with money problems to be saved for her daughters birthday and a few other gifts made my very poorly neice very happy! The remainder will be saved for school fayres, charity raffles and little gifts for my childrens friends. Some of us actually enjoy giving and the sales enable me to do this a little more!!:)

    Here Here - well said!
And thats lovely of you to do that for your friend :T

I havent spent a huge amount (about £40) but I totally understand where you are coming from. Only two items I bought were for myself as treats but the rest were all birthday presents for other people - including my mum who I couldn't afford presents for when it was her birthday straight after christmas - so thanks to the sales Ive been able to buy her something nice at a fraction of the cost, even if it is late and managed to stock up on some lovely presents for my sister and MIL's birthdays later in the year - because by then there is no way I will be able to afford them.

With the exception of food shopping, everything Ive bought in the last few months has been from sales, discounts etc because Id have never of been able to afford it without....

Fortunately I managed to get quite a few bargains yesterday, in store.

I would check both out anyway whilst your at it. Oracle had a lot of rubbish left at the end of the day yesterday, and theyve already moved sales into a smaller area as they are making way for sun tan lotions and holiday shop. still lots of xmas cards and wrapping left over. The Sales assistant at broad st said they dont normaly sell toys so the manger sent them to the oracle, but then they were told to keep some.. Looks like they are trying to distribute evenly between the stores so that smaller stores dont loose out.

Ive never become so obsessed with boots sale, but this year I had particularly a lot of time on my hands, and Its too good! Just dont know where i am goign to store all this stuff! Hopefully will get rid of alot in january and feb birthdays!

In hindsight, if boots can still make a profit at 75% off, can you imagine the profit margins...and also it makes you think alot of tat isnt actually worth it in the first place....but then again hindsight is a wonderful thing lol

Thats somewhat along the lines of what Ive been wondering.

Actually I have to admit there are things Id have never of bought at full price, that strictly make up case for starters at £45....Even the little box of chocs for £6 but at £1.50 they arn't so bad :)

I was lucky enough to buy a few mego bloks sets at £5 reduced from £20 which were bargain. When I went to Wilkos they were selling something simmilar but bigger bloks at about £3.75 in their clearence. So shows its worth to shop around.
