Did they try scanning it? I have bought lots of the GWP's in the past and used the £5 off voucher and sometimes bonus points vouchers at the same time. I will try it if I find any in my area for sale!

Think someone in the thread about the bags said they tried it on a SS till and it didn't work.

May go into the speke branch on Saturday morning since I will be going to the retail park anyway. May be worth checking if theres any little bits left over, looking online now I wish I had baught the mini mp3 speakers for £3 they had lots of these in Liverpool Clayton square but I never ended up buying any.

I bought these and the sound quality is really poor (very muffled). I would not recommend them.

Where did all the Celia Britwell gadget bags go to:mad: Can't even find one on ebay.

The GWP scanned with the £5 voucher today for me, this was in an Irish Boots but that shouldn't matter.

maybe i'll have to try some -i'll wait for next yr's 75% sale

just thinking its a shame Boots don't have a Summer sale as well, I suppose it takes them and us a whole year to get over this one!

I nipped into a tiny boots that i forgot to check yesterday in all the excitement of going to the worst place ever (meadowhall sheffield-never again!!!!!). They still had some "HEXBUG MICROROBOTIC ANT" reduced from £12 to £3, does anyone have any experience with these? are they any good? and anyone knowunopened will the battery last until august/september time for my boys birthdays , there were 6 there I bought all of them!

I managed to get one for my son but ended up giving him it straight away as he is off school ill and needed cheering up. It's really good, even goes well on carpet. As soon as the antennae touch an obstacle it changes direction. Also runs across the hands so quite fun.

Not sure how long the batteries will last but my son had nano bugs for Christmas and has run them for about 6 hours and batteries still going strong. If not turned on shouldn't be a problem.

Also, if you are careful you can remove the ant from the packaging and check the batteries before giving him the present. If they use the same batteries as nano bugs they are 99p for 2 at Red5.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry to post again but I promised I_am_Mad that I would check what was left at Merry Hill.

At 1pm today they had a few dumbell alarm clocks, some botanics bags (small ones), AA free day out books, large slabs of chocolate, spiced biscuits, campbells soup bowls, loads of guinness cufflink sets, small boxes of sweets, chocolate mini puds, loads of mens FCUK t-shirt sets, some subbuteo bits, some religion belt sets, flakes truffles and a few weenicom bits.

There were some other bits but can't remember them all.

  • Ive been trawling between the boots in the oracle reading and the smaller one on the high street the past 2 days.
The smaller one noteably has more stuff that keeps on being put on the shelves.. More toys were added today.
I found that alot of the Toys in the oracle store were kept hiden between the full price stuff where noone bothered to look(could be the staff trying to save bits for themselves!!!!) Also in the smaller boots alot of gifts were on the non 75% isles at the end so might be worth walking down some of the other non obvious isles.
