just a quick question! Did anyone else buy The minnie mouse umbrella in a little bag in the sale or at christmas? Im having difficulty getting it to go up?! anyone else having the same problem as my sisters is the same too that ive bought for her birthday

Dont get my started on putting up umbrellas - I once looked like a right fool walking round town in the pouring rain attempting to put it up, had a complete mental block and just couldn't figure it out - despite using the same umbrella for years :rotfl:

In reply to all the people here trying to justify their excessive spending at the sales (not just Boots, lets be honest here....) I am guilty of the same. And I'm not an ebayer (can never understand who buys that stuff that Boots can't shift themselves...?)

It's still getting your shopping 'fix' but it's guilt free because it's 'not for me guv honest' it's for other people. And as long as they like those presents, and you have saved money, fab.

I've also had some great ideas from this thread, thank you. One ungrateful person who said 'why have you bought me that' :mad: has now had it withdrawn and I'm putting it up as a raffle prize for the local charity I support.

some of the things that i added to my favorites are now showing as in stock (they wernt this murnin) but i cant add them to my basket cuz it says its discontinued, does this mean that at some point they wil put some stock on?

Just back from Castlepoint Bournemouth.... More hat boxes and big strictly sets that you can shake a stick at!
They had some of the 4+ megabloks micro blocks sets as well as some Wonderpwts - the big stuffed toys and the can phone toy
A few weenicon bits but that was it really

Got my despatch email yesterday and my order has arrived (due 25th). I only spent £14 on line due to oos. Think I ordered at 3 30 pm (ish). It's all put away for birthdays etc.

I managed to get to a store and bought a few bits but I'm more pleased with online order.

Popped into Boots Cribbs Causeway (Bristol) this morning.

Loads of Fearne hatboxes and Strictly cases and not much else...wrapping paper, Subbuteo stuff, some chocolate and makeup bags etc.

Picked up a couple of things including Celia Birtwell purse but don't think those hatboxes are going to shift....not sure I would even want one at 90 per cent off, sorry Fearne....

Been to Westfield Derby and Wyvern Derby....nothing much left apart from wrapping paper, some chocs, Subbuteo mugs (in their hundreds lol), some Religion, SATC, Campbells mugs, lots of sweets. Came out empty handed which is an all time first for me. Then I remembered I had a 250 points voucher for No 7 and the £5 off No 7 voucher, so went back and got an eyeline and use both vouchers on that at the self service till.
