    Morning!
I am having 'one of those' weeks. I work Mon-Wed but have been coming in from work, sorting out the kids, putting them to bed and then putting myself to bed so the house has been neglected but on the upside it hasn't had as much abuse as normal so shouldn't be too hard to rectify.
I have to go back to work on my day off later on for a parents evening but will see what I can get done today.
Our bed broke at the weekend so the new one is hopefully coming today so we have bed bits all over the top floor so hopefully I can get hoovered around where the new one is going and just work around the bits until DH gets home and can bring them down tonight.

  • Mornin' all,
Right! Going to tackle bedroom floor when I get home from work and get the sewing done.
Thanks Valli, I think dot to dotting is a good method for me. I had not thought of that.

  • Oh joy - master bedroom!

This was blitzed at the weekend, but will strip the bed and hoover the mattress.

Fingers crossed DD1 only has a cold.

DD2 awoke to a phone full of messages - mostly from the mate getting at her last night!

OH's list for today~ ironing and putting away his xmas presents which are still lying around.

    Xmas cards down
    Kitchen floor done
1 case in the loft, 1 more to go, but not fully unpacked yet

OH is much better and muttering about going back to work next week, and it seems he may be fit enough to go, according to the nurse, but he has to see the dr, so that is a very good sign. he was very very lucky.

Hall way to be cleared of shoes, they must have their own breeding programme, I am sure there are more than we own there.

    Hugs to you all. xx

So far, so good. Bed vacuumed, winowsill and window done, skirting boards wiped:eek:. floor vac'd. Underwear drawer emptied and half binned.
MINI RANT so please feel free to ignore:)
I hate our bedroom it hasn't been decorated for years and the paintwork is a nightmare due to the black paint/stain stuff the previous tennants put everywhere. (even painted the toilet and the gas fire black) Some sort of black stain stuff that reacts even 11 years on with anything you paint on it. So the skirting boards peeling again and showing black. In all the other rooms skirting boards been replaced. OH is/was a decorator by trade and where as i would crack on and paint and gloss when kids have gone to bed all i get from him is preperation preperation preperation, oh and sheet up. Yes it looks lovely when it's done but i just want it to look clean, he knows what a big job it is/he makes it to decorate so it never gets done. Waited 7 years for staircase to be decorated and still waiting for glossing finishing, but at least it looks clean with the undercoat.:rotfl: Oh the joys of being married to a decorator. Rant over. :o
Hugs to all who need them.X

OK!I haven't finished work yet....but I'll race out and chop on with that before hitting the master bedroom.

TBH I could have done with a slot in the sitting room agan today so I might make that my very first HHC and hit it.
  • DS decluttered, run decluttered :j

I'm going to HHC and continue until DD is ready to go out - join me if you can :A

    Off into the kitchen :)
