SA you are soo funny i love you. Janet is 5ft and i feel like a giant when i am with her. I am going to ring her and tell her what to do with her socks!!!! She has the dirtiest laugh ever (a female Sid James laugh and she is so ladylike the rest of the time) i took her to a church function once and everyone stopped, listened and joined in when she laughed. she is soooo funny.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

5ft 2 is short but I don't give a damn about height. You just think tall, if you act confident, head up, chin out, shoulders back, tummy in, and walk confidently and talk confidently, people believe you. They just see all that confidence and think you know something so they listen to you. But for me that has also come with age, being confident and believing in myself.
You are doing really well SW, and stop putting yourself down.0 -
Am still laughing about socks and knickers. It make take a while to recover. We could put SA on the stage and make a lot of money!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

I have a bit of a complex now. Is 5ft2 really short? i didn't think so.:( i am sure if i was taller i would be assertive. Do you feel the same?
A couple of points to make sw,
The majority of ladies in this country are well under the "average" height IMO .... so you are far from being different
Smaller ladies make men feel protective whereas Amazonians like me frighten men to death.... true
they feel threatened, over faced, unattracted....
only short men with a Napoleonic complex like tallies :rotfl:
I think people expect taller females to be more assertive but they for some reason expect them to be harder too and able to accept barbs, cruel remarks (thinly disguised as jokes) and so on. It can be quite hurtful at times. On a few occasions I have had drunk men saying the most hurtful things thinking they were being humorous - far from it...

I dont have much to do with man people all my male friends are gay. Some man people are very selfish. If you want me to bash anyone up i am here for you! I have a rugby team at my disposal. I used to live by racist neighbours and they used to smash my windows. The police used to visit me at work when her husband had broken something else and one day my students heard. A couple of them were in the TA and threatened to bring their friends down with a tank to sort neighbour out!!! Luckily i didnt take them up on the offer - they are at medical school now. It's amazing who we know. Life is an experience and we have to enjoy it even the bad times, it makes us appreciate how much we have now. I feel very blessed.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

I am sorry for zoning in on short phrases again. But ..."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

I'm a short-@rse too, but I still couldn't wear those lovely socks because, well, not to put too fine a point on it, there wouldn't be enough room in my knickers for sock tops and my bottom. Vertically and horizontally challenged is what I am."Green pastures are before me,
