Dojo do you have a diary? you make me laugh. How good are your martial arts skills?

Hi SW, no I don`t have a diary, not interesting enough for one. As for my martial art skills, they are very rusty, just like me;)

  • Hi startagain :)

I've been catching up with your posts and have to say I'm loving the positive aura of your posts... that maybe the chocolate lol

No seriously, I feel strongly that as ex-bankrupts we help people realise that bankruptcy, however horrendous the process is, can be moved on from. The horrible negativity we put our selves through can and do wain. Because bankrupts don't believe that time will ever come when they're 'doing their year' especially the early months it's good to have the positive reinforcement that really you can get over it, life is and can be good after it and the process changes you somewhat. We become more proactive, more in control of our lives, more determined to progress and rebuild. I feel this anyway.

Candle wax on the carpet, PC acting up, smashed fence.. oh man, how annoying but you're not dwelling on it. Acceptance + proactivity + positivity = startagain :)

    Hi everyone...

    OK, where to start?

The kitchen blinds are fitted and look fabulous :)
I was extra pleased because the "blind man" said he thought MrT was a different dog to the neurotic specimen he met last summer when he fitted the first lot of blinds. I was chuffed! So much so that MrT and I went to the pet shop this morning and picked out a new squeaky toy as this week he had killed off his last one.Well, I picked it as he much preferred a live guinea pig, which obviously wasn't an option :D So we now have a squeaky hot dog which has been given a ten minute workout and is still intact.

I have been getting a lot of surveys through and a couple of much more involved ones that last for 1 or 2 weeks, with increased payment to match, so all is good. I get a £10 Amazon voucher for the one I through this morning. Good stuff.

I had to tidy the garden up yesterday after the damage wreaked by the wind. Lots of broken things :(
After putting a load of stuff in the car to take to the tip, I got two black bin liners and put ALL of the stuff from my life in the Dominican Republic in there - letters, presents, photos, souvenirs ....15 YEARS WORTH  and went and dumped it all... I can't believe I have done it finally. AT LAST, and I feel fine, quite relieved really. It just seemed the right time to do it. I haven't fallen out with anyone, just started a new job, out of debt, fairly stable emotionally and so I have done it.....
I have decided not to take a holiday this year as I will only compare it to back there and make me miss it all over again. Perhaps next year? I haven't heard from the ex this week either. He phoned twice on Tuesday but I didn't answer. I have now changed the tariff on my phone to a cheap one for the UK rather than for calls abroad and deleted all his contact details. Where did this new strong, capable, organised person suddenly spring from? :rotfl:

Lots of nectar points have appeared on my account today after I redeemed them from a survey site - I can get my new kitchen scales now, part of my new baking thing that I have got going on. I am not very good but enjoy it nonetheless.

My bamboo plants have started shooting little green bits this week so Spring must be around the corner, mustn't it? I think the grass has definitely got longer and looks like it needs cutting. Perhaps if we get a couple of dry days, I can do it next week.

Not too much else to report, I hope everyone is well.
Shepherds Pie today (and tomorrow) so I will be making that later. MrT does a quality check on the carrots - he just loves raw carrot..

    Hugs

Wow! What else is there to say, really? Except WELL DONE, on all counts, but especially the black bin liners to the tip, and the changing tariffs, and the not answering the phone, and the deleting the contact details, and doing such a great job with MrT, and making your flat look nice, and being so positive. And all the other things. You are doing SO well.

Thanks beanie and Wsmith - ooh, almost got WHsm*th there, didn't I?

Yep, no regrets whatsoever. I actually think that getting MrT has been the catalyst for severing that part of my life, and by golly it was a major part of my life as well. Even though he was troublesome at first, it gave me something to focus on and made me get myself more stable, emotionally, so that he calmed down as well.

I forgot another major good thing...... in my PJ's last night watching TVwhen the doorbell rings. ???? It was a courier with a big box. "Delivery from Next" he says. Not me, I think.... it was a competition win!!!!! A beautiful table lamp - rrp £50. It goes really nicely in the lounge and i had completely forgotten that I had entered. What a lovely surprise - and I bet the courier thought the same thing when he saw the PJ's, fluffy socks and barmy terrier!

    Lucky streak, or what?

You forgot? You forgot? What a fab thing to happen, especially since you'd forgotten you'd done the competition. I think the only thing that could have topped off this week would have been the delivery man being so overcome by your PJs and fluffy socks that he swept you up and carried you to the sofa and watched TV with you. Or something.

And not forgetting MrT. He has done a great job with you, too. I have mentioned this to my mutt, thinking maybe she would be inspired by the story, but she just raised an eyebrow and sighed very heavily.

I had a fantastic day too. Am beaming - i did soooo much and only spent £21 I bought lunch for a friend, (she is ill and needed a treat),shopped for a few food basics, fresh fruit from the market, bought gorgeous slippers, and lovely cards and then we had drinks too, and the bus ticket cost me £5.30 - the new me!!!
