Hi guys,
Sorry to read and run but got home to loads of emails and a lot of surveys too - can't complain. Ironed the carpet and all the wax came out - fantastic, like new again.
2nd day went very well, I think it is going to be just fine. My MrS delivery has arrived and so I can eat tonight! MrT supervised everything as usual and is very pleased that his food supply has increased dramatically.
Thanks for all your support and as soon as I have got a bit of time I will be back on for longer.
Hugs

Hi SA
I have just caught up with your diary thus far... took me a few days! I have loved reading, you are like a good book, can't put it down but don't want to read too much in case it ends too soon! Please keep writingx

Hi everyone ..... :j
I haven't forgotten you all, just haven't had time what with one thing and another. So, where do I start....
Firstly, welcome Lucy and thanks for the nice post. I just tell it like I am talking to you all in person - what you read is what/who I am.
Secondly, I do hope everyone is well and I haven't missed anything major - let me know if I have?
And now the latest....
Well my first week at work finished as well as it started and it is fabulous. I have met the bosses and they are really nice and I think it is going to be fandabbydozy (anyone else remember the Crankies?) I got home yesterday and managed to cook a bit of pasta and walk MrT before crashing out on the settee - day finished.
I got up at 5.30 am today to get sorted for my course and opened the front door to find two 6ft fence panels on the other side of my street  blown away by the wind. They had managed to break a couple of planks off the garden gate in the process. It was mayhem, I can tell you. I managed to lug them back into my garden - thank heavens I was actually at the HA today because I could report it in person and they are going to send some guys to put it all back together again for me within 7 days. I have put my biggest garden pots together to fill the gap for the time being and told MrT that on no account is he to cross the line into the garden next door or his pigs ear ration will be terminated immediately..I will just have to keep an eye on him but he doesn't go in the garden much because he is walked for 2 hours a day and tends to just put his feet up for the rest of the time.
The course went well today and the traffic was quite light so made it home in just under an hour while it was still bright and sunny.
I have been given a short notice mystery shop for tomorrow so that is handy for a few extra £££ - all adds up. Oh, I forgot the kitchen blinds are being fitted as well tomorrow morning so it is all go.
I am going to have to do some batch cooking this weekend as my energy is definitely on the wane by the time I have got home and walked MrT. I just want to warm something up so I will get that organised.
No extexts and no contact since last Saturday - could this finally be the end? I am feeling quite relieved, I must admit, and don't want to be tempted into contacting him. Keep busy, keep busy....
I can't think of too much to write tonight, I think my brain is a bit befuddled and Mr T is on my lap and resting his head on my arm which is making typing a little bit difficult. So, I am going to sign off and come back on tomorrow bright eyed and bushy tailed and actually get involved on MSE a bit more!
Hugs..
Hasta manana

Wow what a busy (but great) week!
Glad to hear the job looks like its going to be a nice one.
We had terrible wind here too last night. Luckily moved although last year we nearly lost the barn roof so OH has sealed it down good and proper now.
Mr T sounds soo cute I can just imagine (even though I have never met you) you and him chilling with feet up on the sofa
take care x0 -
Hooray about job. I told my students my friend has a job in a chocolate firm. They want to adopt you. Fancy some kids?????
Well done on sorting out fence and I hope Mr T listens!!!
I would love to do a mystery shop at the Ritz. Jolly nice, ate there once (a long time ago) and they were soooo kind. One day. Maybe when i have robbed a bank!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Those are the kinds of weeks we want - enjoyable, productive and lucrative! I'm so glad the job seems to be working out and hope that it continues."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Good morning Wordsmith - I hope you are well and things are on the up for you, too.
I must admit I had a different mindset going in for my first day on Monday and said to myself "this job IS going to work out" and I am determined to make myself an asset to them rather than a liability.
I am pleased that it only takes a few minutes to get home and MrT gets a quick walk at lunchtime. He really doesn't seem to be affected at all by the change in routine.
Right, off to clean the kitchen before the "blind man" comes at 9.30am. Be back later with updates.
Byeeeee

Hi SA
Sounds like you've had the perfect start to your new job. I'm so pleased for you (and a little jealous about the chocolate situation!). I'm trying to work out which chocloate factory it is, is it one in York? If so, that's where I'm thinking of moving for my new job! Small world!
