Well i am ex-less, I am a confirmed old maid and pretty happy. I just stalk people on Mse and bless them they end up being my friends. Steve and Andy are popping round tomorrow and i am soooo happy. Very tired nothing done at all today i have spent it in bed.
SA did you know Miche from the old BR threads? Did you know Blind as a Bat? He rocked and was one of my heroes - he always will be.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Hi SA and SW, glad you are still being positive, love that about your diary. I have been away for a week, surprise present from our son and daughter, unfortunately I caught something whilst there and have been ill for most of this week. Anyway seems to be settling down now (ended up losing a stone in 3 days) whilst I have been nipping on the site I have not been posting as much but hopefully that will change in the next couple of days.
Anyway, enough about me, just hope you can keep being as positive as I find it really infectious and is a credit to you:pB&SC No. 298

Hello startagain, have just spent the last few hours reading your whole thread!
I think you sound like a really lovely person, and I hope everything works out for you in relation to jobs etc... I am currently not in paid employment - wouldn't say I don't work as I have 2 young boys, a lovely (but sometimes a bit messy) husband and a house to look after
I also ALWAYS check my reciepts after a supermarket shop it can be SO worthwhile. One time I picked up 2 items (Kids toys) which were listed at £1.50 each. When I had been through the till I had been charged £6 for one and £7 for the other. So that was £10 overcharged which they doubled - RESULT!!!!!!!
Hope you have a good week.
It's half term for us so I've got my little darlings ALL week and the weather forecast isn't great, JOY!
I'm going to subscribe to your thread if that's ok?0 -
Monday already, where did the weekend go?
A very warm welcome to the nice peeps who have joined our little band on here  Please stick around and join in with our giggles, moans and commiserations. It is good to hear other peoples advice and experiences - it makes you feel you are not the only person who feels the world can be against them at times.
sw - you are not an old maid... just a confirmed bachelorettethe big relationship in your life is with cake
My blimmin neighbours were so out of order last night - the noise was just horrendous. I am very wary of the visiting "friend" who although female is built like a russian shotputter and has a mouth like the mersey tunnel. I didn't fancy a showdown like something out of Big Fat Gyspy Weddings so I just shouted "TURN IT DOWN" and then turned my tv up. When the mediators came last year they said that if the trouble flared up again they would install noise monitoring equipment. I think that is going to be the next move. I shall have to cut down my green veg intake - don't want flatulence to be a part of the measured noise, do I ?
HB has hit my bank today so I am off to pay the rent - hooray. I hate being in debt, HB is paid 4 weeks in arrears so you can't help it. It used to be 2 in arrears 2 in advance, but not now. Another errand for MrT to "help with" - he does love a trip into town, people make such a fuss of himand he is always on the lookout for a bit of dropped sausage roll or cheese straw... treasure!
Busy week this week, interview tomorrow, training Weds, haircut Thurs and sign on Friday. It might even be "sign off" Friday depending on interview TuesdayExciting times.
I can't think of any more drivel to bore you with ... lots of bits and bobs expected this week to go towards my kitchen blinds - £20 from contractors for failed appt, £30 from musicmagpie, £20 from surveys, and tomorrow I get a £10 gift voucher for attending the training course - I feel a little treat coming on. Thank heavens the pet shop don't accept GVs - I can't be tempted into treating MrT and not myself....
Have a good day everyone, you hear?
For your viewing pleasure this evening....
Sky1 @ 9 pm - Ross Kemp's new series, clashing nicely with Glee on E4. Thank heavens for Sky+
Oh, and lastly - KERRY HAS BEEN CHUCKED OFF SKATING ON ICE....
:j Nothing against the woman, but she can't skate!!!!!

Bless you! You do make me laugh. So sorry about horrid neighbours.
Steve and Andy are popping by today and i have just done yesterday's washing up. Only need to vacuum and the house will be tidy and then i can go out and get some nice choccy biscuits for them. i couldn't buy those yesterday as i would have gobbled them in the night!!
Mrs Victoria Sandwich - has a nice ring doesn't it? Now does anyone know of any Mr VS's that are available???? Can you imagine if i had kids I would have to call them Trifle and Jelly.... oooer.:oAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Please forgive me - a few unanswered qustions
copperjar - we already have two established dog walking, pet sitting outfits in the town. I actually used one of them when I was in my last job. Expensive, and he wasn't very busy either. I think it may be a case of "this town ain't big enough"
dojoman - sorry to hear that you have been on the best diet known to manReminds me of some years ago when I returned from a short holiday in Tunisia with an unwelcome guest - e coli
It took 10 days to diagnose and I lost so much weight. Unfortunately, I was skinny to start with and I looked like I had been in a starvation camp... My lovely GP got me through it, and then told me afterwards that I was lucky not to die  Nice!
Welcome back however
sw - yep I knew Blind as a Bat - it seems so long ago now and yet it was only 3 years - it shows how much life moves on and how quickly.
I think that is all - speak soon.
