Hi everyone
Plans are coming along nicely. Meeting with the florist next wkend - her 1st quote was almost £1000 so my aim is to bring this price down by around 50%......:eek:
Also going to a new jewellery wholesalers to look at wedding rings
Still waiting on my dress. It was ordered in June so fingers crossed its with me any day now!
Keeping an eye out for flower girl dress & shoes for me & maybe some jewellery. I need to focus on one thing at a time & stop getting distracted my other stuff lol!!!

no you dont need to panick we only set a date about 3 weeks ago and its all gone very smoothly!! like i posted before done quite a bit. well got notice of marriage tom at 4:30 feel very scary im sure it will be fine. not alot to do now really so thats good

Wow almost £1000 for flowers,are they dipped in gold lol thats why im having artifical to cut the cost down and also to keep them after
Im awaiting to hear from my mums friend as she has altered my dress should be my last fitting next week then she needs to take the girls dresses away to be done.
going to start my invites next week aswell

Can I join in please? We have finally set a date after being engaged for 9+ years!! :rotfl:
We were both on holiday from work this week and in that time
we have sorted a venue and the registrar but there is loads to do before we get married on 25th August 2012!!
This is second time around for both of us - we have grown up kids and grandkids - and we are keeping it relatively informal and relaxed!!
Be back when I have had time to flick through the only wedding magazine I am going to buy!! A fiver for a magazine!! :eek:

hi swampduck congrats on setting the date hope all ok.

well we done our notice of marriage last thursday so we got to wait 15 days for it to clear then its all sorted.
got a problem though the registry office only holds 31 guests so i need to try and cut it down but its impossible this includes children i am only over by a few but what can i do i have said to friends no partners now just for reception i can have a few children under 2 on laps but if i did all that i am over by one!!! do i say no children as well except my 3 and my sisters boy or is that un fair i thought it was going well lol now im stressed!!! trying to get rings too but everywhere is expensive i found my ring but need to get it re sized coz its to big but for my partner its hard he found one for £90 but it didnt look very good for the money. hope everyones planning is going better xxx

Stassy its a tough one isnt it,are they really going to be tough on u if you go one over? cant see it being a big deal.As for the rings do u not have a jewellery quarter near to you? we have been lucky in respect to our rings as OH's friend is a jewellery so did us a fab deal.are u fussed whether the ring is new or 2nd hand?

i have my last dress fitting friday and we get to pick our rings up on the 25th yay so excited.i made one of our invites today aswellto see how they would look and im quite pleased

Hi Everyone!

Not been on here for a while so a little update from me. Just over 6 months to go for me now! Invites are done - just need to finish writing them so we can get them sent out. As we did not do 'save the dates' we are sending them out at the end of the month. Rings have been paid for and ordered and should hopefully be back this week! We are going to leave them at the jewellers but will be nice to have a glimpse at the finished product
Hoop/Underskirt has finally arrived so i can re-schedule my dress fitting as it needs a little alteration. Think thats all for now. We are hoping to arrange/agree on a photographer this week! I seem to be quite organised for me as i'm usually super last minute with things!

Hope everyone else's plan are going well. From reading through it seems they are

im not sure what a jewellery quarter is!!! we dont have much in truro lol. i asked them at the registry office about one extra but they said no i have to pretend my bil is the photographer so hes not included. oh well im sure it will sort itself out xxx

O what a nitemare,what difference would it really make if they just turned a blind eye are they really on the day going to say sorry but you will have to leave.ah right we have a jewellery quarter in b'ham its basically a place with lots of jewellers in one place.not sure if there everywhere or just b'ham.if u have places like cash for gold they will have rings cheap but again it depends if u want new or 2nd hand,all gold to a degree is 2nd hand when u think about it but i think its the difference between the fact someone else has wore it then cashed it in x
