I deleted the exclamation marks from the links and now the link works. I absolutely love the bunting, you are so talented :D Also the favour boxes are just awesome- were they hard to make, and what kind of favours are you having? That is so so sweet that your oh wants to make some of the boxes himself, bless him :)

Thanks for sharing your pictures :)

I got the boxes from ebay, like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50-WHITE-WEDDING-FAVOUR-GIFT-BOXES-LID-/170648762450?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&hash=item27bb757852#ht_927wt_932

    They work out 20p each:money:

And I stuck ribbon on with a glue stick. To make it neat inside the lid, there is a sort of flap inside the lid that you fold down last, so I left that unfolded while I glued the ribbon, and then folded it down to cover the ends. You can still see the ribbon ends inside the main box though, so I might either put tissue inside before the favours, or else glue a plain white ribbon round the inside to cover them.

You can get cheap ribbon off ebay too if you search for it.

I don't know what favours I'm having though! I wanted sugared almonds cos they're lovely but a lot of people don't like them. My bm suggested love hearts but I don't like them and I don't think my family will either, the chocolate dragees look ace but in my free time not worrying about rain I worry it will be too hot and everything will melt! What are you thinking of for yours, if you are having them?

Oh wow I see what you have done with the ribbon now- I thought you had made them out of striped card initially. The ribbon will add a lovely texture to the boxes and they look gorgeous. The ribbon must be pretty fiddly to stick on straight though, you must have a lot of patience! Fantastic value for money though :D

I haven't decided on favours at all. I would like to do some kind of charity favour, either just a card saying we have made a donation or a pin badge type thing. I would also like to have something else to go with it, but it is so hard trying to think of things that everyone would like. So far, I have thought of just married rock in our colours, love hearts, choccies, something from lush but not sure what- it's so hard to decide. I am exactly the same about the weather- panicking it will tip down all day one moment and then worrying that it will be hot and melt chocolate favours the next :o:rotfl:

I just want something that people will enjoy- I would hate for most people to leave the favours on the table at the end of the evening. I am wondering about having different favours for different people, but not sure how practical it will be to do. Plus there would then be potential problems with people sitting in the wrong seat and getting the wrong favours, or people complaining they preferred someone else's! I know it is not massively important in the grand scheme of things but I really am struggling to know what to get :o

i've pretty much got the whole thing planned in my head
i just have to write it all down & make sure it's within budget!

the wedding ceremony, reception & disco are booked as is the photographer.
i have bought some fishbowls to make my own centerpieces (closer to the time obviously)
    we're having a ivory & gold theme
the guest lists are pretty much decided.

i'm just struggling with cheap wedding favours atm.

:j i am pretty much the most organised woman on the planet (i've only been engaged a week and my ring hasnt even arrived yet:rotfl:)

Can I join in too. I don't have a date yet, but likely to be early August. We're not really organised at all, but have a price from the place we'd like to have a our reception.

We're really broke so are going to have to get close family and friends heavily involved.

My dad has said he'd pay for a sit-down meal for the guests that will be at the ceremony (this number will be around 50). The evening do, which will have a lot more people at, we're thinking of doing only a few nibbles / finger food bits and telling people on the invite that it's a pot-luck buffet (ie, we'd welcome contributions)!

There are a few of us that can bake, so we'll do the cake I think, but have a friend who is great at decorating so will get her to do that.

Our main problem is where to have the ceremony - there are various possibilities but none seem quite right so far. Grrrr.
