Hi from a July bride *this* to me sounds like a fantastic idea!! Far better use of your money - plus you can have fun in it for a couple of days rather than a couple of hours!

Went to a wedding fayre at weekend at the venue we are getting married... turns out they are building a new bridal cottage and we, if built in time, will be the first to use it, bonus points is its right outside the room we are using!! the room as all set up and laid out with tables, I made the mistake of standing behind the top table to see what I am up against when I do my speech.... yeah... now im even more nervous haha!

Just raised a query with Avis about the 'Jaaaaaag' to see if its available. I think I have more or less decided to go for it, its not a hugh amount of money and will be the icing on the cake really!

Suits been fitted this week, they get delivered to the store tomorrow, my brothers will be going during the week, and I will be going with my dad at the weekend.

A couple of people have dropped out - one person from Canada on OH's side, and my cousin, cousin's OH and baby have dropped out at the last minute - I am quite disapointed they have left it this late, the excuse for my cousin is they are buying a house and it either completes or something happens around the time of the wedding, and they never bothered telling us directly. Very annoying and disaapointing, but looking if we can upgrade somebody.

Car is ordered. Deposit is a little larger than I was expecting (£1500!!!) but as long as I dont bend it I should get it back!

Due to people dropping out we are having a shuffle of the tables as it would leave a table with only 4 people on it! We have merged that table with other tables so we are down to 4 rather than 5! Maybe a little coasy but its the only sensible way to go really to avoid having a really small table which would look odd, and people sat with other people they know! Good job we didnt complete the table plan at the weekend just gone!

Brill that you going for the car SplanK. Being into our cars too think it a brill idea. Our wedding is very small (9) but there will still be two Subaru Impreza's there. We have one and a witness has one.

Meeting with photographer this weekend and having a walk around venue but then I think we are done. Just to pick up the wedding docs a few days before the big day and we shall be sorted. Though still need to source some flowers but if too expensive I'll pick some snowdrops or daffodils in the wood at the venue!

hhm... our photographer keeps avoiding the subject of meeting up... almost as though he does not want to do it as I have hinted on enough occasions now in various emails that we should arrange soon as my work life is consuiming most of my free time due to some large IT projects creeping out of the woodwork.

Saying that, not actualy sure if the original price included a pre-day walk around!

Might just email him again asking him if its something that we should do, we will be at the venue next Sat anyway so would be perfect timing.

We've been lucky sp far with our photographer. She graduated last year and we will be her first Wedding. I am a bit nervous baout this but she has been to our venue several times, is going tomorrow to see how the snow might affect our photod, has been in contact with our Wedding planner (off her own back with out involving us) so it seems she really is out to ensure she does a really good job!:T

I've just received in the post today a beautiful card from my MIL with a lovely poem about how I'm right for her son, love him and his son unconditionally and how she is looking forward to having me as her daughter. Really thoughtful!

Now i was very touched but not as touched as my H2B who was in tears!!!! Bless him

I had my suit fitting yesterday with my dad - went really well.... 1 of my brothers and brother in law (to be!) have had theirs done, just the best man.. so far no issues. I just need to stop with the pies for the next couple of weeks!

I know this may sound very odd, and a couple of mates are bemused by it but I have booked a driving lesson (first since I passed my test back in 2001!) to get used to driving an automatic before I pick up the Jag! IMHO - £25 well spent to be sure I know how to operate an auto correctly and not learn as I go on my own!

the OH's Aunt has made it from Canada safe and sound yesterday. OH also teaches spanish to little en's on Sat mornings, and was suprised when the parents all bought her pressents and one of the 6 year olds ended up making an rather large cake with an epic amount of butter cream! 0m n0m n0m!
