Definately something in the water as Im sat here with a holiday brochure looking at hotels and then researching them online!!
I think we will stick to within Europe as its hurricane season for the Caribbean and monsoon season for the Indian Ocean, did think about Eygpt, but ive heard its way really hot in August so Im just costing up and researching different places.0 -
Hi everyone!
Well car deposit is paid so thats all sorted now
I want to go to Cedar Point theme park for our Honeymoon (it looks amazing:D:D) but realistically don't think we will be able to afford it so might just do a nice holiday in Europe somewhere instead. I don't like anywhere too hot though, and he doesn't like being cold! So destination may be an issue lol.
Hope your OH is feeling better now, I agree with not giving too much sympathy...if they will do these silly things! Mine is off on a weekend away with army cadets, usually involves lots of port, not much sleep, and long days out in the field followed by me having to put up with a weeks worth of complaining about how tired he is!
To be fair he is doing four camps in a row this month with all the money going towards the wedding fund - He's doing the whole month of May without a day off bless him!

Just a quick catch up as my laptop has broke so on my phone.
So glad his shoes fit hope his foot is better too!
After speaking to my mum we r stickin with the wishing well she thinks its a fab idea. Hehe
Well we got our quote back from the jewlers for OHs ring and its gone from £60 to £250 :-( so we cashed our scrap gold in and got £75 then choose a plain band for £119.99 so only spent £45 which we thought was good.
My brothers girlfriends grandad.( lol ) has a bentley and said he would be happy to drive us to/from church :-)
Ill try get on a comp at mums to catch up properly soon!
Happy planning ladies xx0 -
:j On MrDs shoes fitting
:jto Mel for booking your car
:jLauraR for sorting your car, and even better that its free. Wow, thats a big jump in cost for the ring, at least youve sorted it for a good price.
Well im still looking into honeymoons, im currently looking at Cyprus or turkey. ive found a few lovely hotels all inclusive with good reviews on trip advisor, all within budget and all adult only hotels! (well on is 13+ but thats not too bad!).0 -

Fab news about the car Laura, I don't know anyone with a posh car like that. My grandad has a cute little bright red mini cooper which would be cool but its tiny in the back, my dad wouldn't fit in it!
I am really enjoying being home alone this weekend haha is that really badI do like to have my own space. Only problem is, it means I have to eat a whole pizza to myself... bad for the diet lol

that is a huge price increase! I am hoping to get our rings sorted around October half term/Christmas time... fingers crossed the price of gold doesn't rise dramatically between now and then!! Great news about your brother's girlfriend's granddad driving you!! Love the wedding planning book!
My diet is starting (again) tomorrow. Lol. Having an indian tonight to see the naughties out lol.
I have been looking at different diving holidays - I *think* we've chosen the sort we want... a 'liveaboard' holiday - where you basically fly out to your destination, get a transfer to the harbour, and then get on a boat. Spending 7 days on the boat diving. Sounds like heaven!! And something I don't think we'd ever do 'normally'. I think once we've learnt to dive we're more likely to go on a normal holiday and go on a normal day boat trip once or twice in the week. This way we'll get to see so much more and have loads of great times diving. And at the moment I'm still very tempted by the Red Sea... yep I've heard its scorching... but as someone said we'll be either in the water diving, or surrounded by water to jump in to cool off. The boats I've been looking at even have air con!! (Will cost around £2.5k though - full board, flights, 3-4 dives a day). I think it'll be the 'holiday of a lifetime' that I'm after

that sounds amazing. im not keen on water though and OH isnt fond either. we (I) am hoping for a couple of days/nights in paris or italy then come home and take the kids somewhere in the UK for a few nights. but with the wedding in July holidays are so expensive so might have to have our honeymoon in sept when school holidays are over.
i put a wanted add on our local freegle (free cycle) for wedding flowers and already had a reply that someone has some silk roses that i can have.0 -
LauraR- that planner book is lovely, how sweet and thoughtful of them to get you that, and will be a lovely keepsake along with the matching album and guest book.
Natalie- im going to start being good again tomorrow- I dont call it a diet so then 1)I dont feel bad if I have the odd treat and 2) I dont feel disheartned if I dont lose weight. I went back to the gym for the first time since my op today and it was fine so will get back into my 4 trips a week, so at least I will be a bit more toned!!
Natalie- your honeymoon plans sound fab, definately once in a lifetime and more special than a more holiday.
Ive found a lovely honeymoon that looks and sounds lovely, its in Turkey (although not in a part ive heard of) and is in a hotel that is for over 13, so there would be a few teenagers but I can cope with them, the reviews on trip advisor give it 4.5 out of 5 and for 14 nights all inclusive its actually about £500 under budget. I have found a lovely hotel in cyprus (paphos) aswell but for 11 nights its only £100 under budget so at the mo im leaning towards the longer cheaper holiday (which the reviews are just as good as). Has anyone been to Turkey or Cyprus??
I dont blame you for waiting until the school holidays are over- given the choice we wouldnt be going then but oh has 2 set weeks at the start of August so its the only time we could go really.
Oh thats fab about the flowers, let us know what they are like.
Oh and Natalie- my status wasnt a joke and im now a bit worried!!!0
