Hi Natalie- I did wonder if Mr D had hurt himself as I saw you were playing nurse on your status. Hope hes ok and its not too much of a serious/ bad break.0
-
Okay - I've decided to catch up before I start my work lol. You guys really are a bad influence lol!!
Emma - :T that the tiara is as lovely in Real Life as it was on the website!! oooo Now for the hours searching for the right hair style!!:T Yay for the bargain bra!!
Tracey - I really like those engraved personalised compact mirrorsBet you are sat on tenderhooks for your tiara to arrive!! Have we seen a picture? Oh that is a nightmare for the hotel for your wedding night!! (I have to say I was relieved to see the Olympics were on after our wedding, but then it doesn't really affect me up here). Have you tried places like booking.com or laterooms.com? Cause (from my understanding) companies buy up so many hotel rooms direct from the hotel and then sell them on themselves. So if you phone the hotel direct they'll tell you the rooms are booked up, but they aren't - they have just been bought by a company who will sell them on.. if that makes any sort of sense!!
LauraR - really glad you are happy with your wishing well!! (Just remember, you know your friends and family far better than fellow MSEers do,... only you can really say how things like poems will go down... my mum would giggle for example at 'living in sin' so for me that line would never be a problem. xx)
Mel - Hope you had a lovely last day off.Fingers crossed for the car!
Heh heh I expect MrD will drive us both home after the wedding in our own car... I suspect I'll drive myself to the registry office.
I'm gutted I missed all the weddingy tv around the royal wedding - I did manage to catch it though while we were at Cadwell.I thought the kiss(es) were lovely!!
and I LOVED the oldest bridesmaid dress!! (Actually thought it was better than the brides - but that is just my own personal tastes.)
:T yay hen night talk!! Well - my hen night will be very low key, simply because most people I would want to share it with live so far away asking them to come up for a hen night and then up for the wedding would be asking a lot... It'll be just me and my CBMIIWHO, either a meal out in my fave restaurant... or a spa day for the two of us. (I'm favouring the latter - if this is the case I plan on having it the weekend before our wedding).
This weekend we did decide that in September, when MrD is racing again at our local track, we will invite both parents to come and watch him race. His dad comes to watch anyway, and his mum will pop into the caravan to see us (she doesn't like to actually see him race). But it'll be a way of them all meeting before the wedding, at something other than a sit down meal (can you tell I'd do anything to avoid that? lol).Lol they can talk hats together PMSL!
As for sweetie tables... I dunno if it helps but I always prefer symmetry whenever I do a display of things. Ooooo I haven't even thought about how I can display all my buffet - oh the hours of organising (and fun) I'll have there - I am so loving wedding planning at the moment!0 -
We arent a bad influence, its just more exciting and interesting on here than doing work!!
The tiara is even more pretty in real life than it is on the website, I love it!! I couldnt believe they had the ultimate strapless bra so cheap, especially as they are about £35 in most places, i was a bit unsure but have decided to go for it- you cant go wrong at that price!!
I agree about the symmetry thing, mine will be symetrical, but then sometimes if you have slightly different shaped or sized things or an odd amount it can look a bit better not symetrical (if that makes sense)!!
A spa day sounds fab!! I went to centre parcs last year for a hen weekend and one day was spent in tha spa, it was so relaxing and lovely!!
I have just caught up with the dont tell the bride live and gypsy wedding!! gypsy wedding was so funny- her dress was so wide she couldnt even walk down the church aisle!! And dttb was ok but the bride was so acting up to the camera and was a little bit annoying, and by it being live and them flicking to the reception you missed out on some of the planning which is my fave part!!0 -
Haha I saw that Gypsy wedding bit, where she couldn't fit up the aisle - so much for being elegant and beautiful on your wedding day, she looked ridiculous having to be manhandled into the coach and through the church aisle, she couldn't even walk back down it hand in hand with her bloke! And in the carriage thing she was just a little head sticking up lol! I thought the look on the vicars face was priceless, you could tell he just wanted to laugh...
I thought that about the bridesmaid dress, it would definately work as an sleek bride dress too. It was lovely.
I'm just getting all my work stuff ready booo! Suppose I shouldn't complain, it's only 3 1/2 weeks till the next one!
xThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Heh heh my thoughts precisely Mel!! 18 more get ups pmsl!0

Hello everyone.
How are you all? Natalie- how is MrD.0 -
Hiya - he's getting there bless him (although sympathy is short lived as he did it himself!) We went to A&E, he hasn't broken his collar bone (luckily) instead he has torn his ligament that holds his collarbone (ouch).
I sat and watched the Royal Fat Gypsy Wedding... lol and I am ashamed to say I actually thought the venue was laid out lovely!! If you imagine the pink replaced with burgundy, and yes I wouldn't have big feathers as centre piece, but I did like the way it was all linked in.0 -
Hey Natalie- glad MrD is ok, I get the whole sympathy thing, my oh doesnt always get much if he hurts himself playing footy!! (its his choice to play!!)
I agree about the venue, I did think it looked nice. They did a fab job (although Im sure they got a few pennies from it!!)0 -
Started looking honeymoons today. It is a toss up between an Egypt nile cruise, a week in Sorrento or a week in Verona. I am leaning towards the ehypt nile cruise. just need to convince the oh. so excited xx0
-
Oh there must be something in the water - cause I was also looking at destinations this week!! Lol I think it was a partly due to going back to work after such a long weekend/Easter break. I have made the decision though I *want* to go somewhere in August 2012... not wait till the following October. But I'm scratching my head as to where we can go that isn't too far away that a week would be long enough, that is hot but not too hot, and where there is good diving!!0
