REALLY want to get out of work now and get home to do more wedding stuff! I love that I can say 'I finish work next Friday!'
:rotfl: being at work never seems to stop you getting on with wedding stuff!
Glad you (and MrGhostlove) love your dress Ghostlove. I need to try mine on again. Scared it won't fit any more, I can't stop eating! The activity books you're doing sound great! I'm just doing some colouring sheets of the design that was on our invitations I think. Would love to hear some more of your ideas!
wanchai yay for the veil! can we see? and yay for cheques too! we've had one wedding present arrive so far and a few more have been bought from the list.
hope all those waiting to hear from DM's hear back soon!
I bought some make up yesterday :j though it was online after a very unsuccessful trip to town..
I tried the elizabeth arden mineral foundation and it looked lovely but it itched so that was out. she wouldn't give me any samples either. in fact, none of the counters I've been to to try things have given me any samples. what am I doing wrong??then I tried a few blushers in boots but none were right. tried the pink cloud one that was suggested and it was too pale pink for me. also tried to find a mascara and couldn't find either of the ones you ladies suggested! I did get a powder brush (the advanced techniques one) and a concealer brush. Then I came home and emptied out my sad looking make up bag to have a root through. Everything in there is SO old! but I re-discovered my lily lolo tester pots and remembered how lovely their mineral foundation was, so I ordered a few more tester pots (they're only £1.29 +p&p and you get enough for several applications, I used them for ages last time) and some blusher and some eyeshaddow :j:j and got topcashback on it too :money:
so now I still need a mascara - any more suggestions? I will be wearing contacts and would like waterproofand I need to find an eyeliner too. oh and a blusher brush I suppose! haha!
today my jobs are: find a salon and book an appointment for a blow dry the day before the wedding, do some more shading on the guestbook, try my dress on again and check it still fits :eek:0 -

Throw all your make up awayIt has a shelf life once its been opened: http://beauty.about.com/od/makeuptrickstips/a/shelflife.htm
this has a good guide on how long to keep your make up for.
Mascara - I think you need to look at the wands and choose from there. Different wands have different effects on the lashes. Do you just want colour or is it to make them look longer or is it to curl them etc?? I personally love Maybelline mascara as its a huge wide wand and it fills all my lashes edge to edge for a dramatic look. I am lucky in i have very long lashes anyway. If you want a stay fast eyeliner i love GOSH gel liner found in Superdrug as it stays put but then so did the No7 liquid liner but i struggle with the thin brush that you have to put it on with.0 -

Oh don't worry, I wasn't planning to use it!!I don't wear make up.. pretty much ever.. so this stuff hadn't been used in a long while! I have a clinique mineral foundation that I occasionally use and an eyeliner and and a sample mascara from a magazine, and they're all not too old, the rest has been in a drawer for years unused.
I was looking at that GOSH gel liner yesterday and wondering if it was any good. For mascara it's just for a little.. definition I guess. So just colour really? I don't know! I'm a rubbish girly girl :rotfl:0 -

It's just a VERY plain veil, no edging at all, two tier, cathedral length. I ADORE it. The satin edged one just wasn't me at all.
Yay for your makeup! I would recommend Lancome Hypnose mascara and Benefit Dandelion blusher but they're not very MSE
Good luck with the dress!!! :T7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

It's this stuff http://www.blincuk.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=11 doesn't rub or cry off so it says.
The dress still fits! Just as tight as it was before, but it fits. Still need to figure out what to do with my boobs though
Have sorted something for my hair finally too. I'll put a pic up on fb. I got some embellishments and a plain ivory satin headband. I'm planning to attach some purple ribbon to cover half of the headband and then attach one of the embellishments to the side. I'm using one as a brooch on my dress and the smaller version for the headband. Let me know what you think!0 -
yAY FOR the dress fitting you! And LOL at your boob comment!!! :rotfl:
That headband sounds gorgeous, can't wait to see FB pics xxx
