Just got back from Dressmaker. She has said that they can add a corset to the back of my dress :j:j:j. The only material she can get is a slightly darker colour of Ivory, but you can barely see the difference. A corset will also give me some movement if I do lose some weight in the meantime. Am so pleased. My dress will be ready on 1st June so will let you know what it is like

Thanks for all your kind words. :o We don't really do passionate making up - it's usually a muttered 'sorry' (or a more heartfelt one with a hug sometimes). Are we weird??

We are the same. Neither of us are that affectionate in the first place.

I also have my hair/make up trial on Friday and still have no idea what I want. Luckily the lady is really nice and has loads of ideas so might see what she thinks.

Thanks for the ideas for flower girl dresses ladies! :)

Good news on your dress Tracey! Enjoy your trial on Friday - I'm sure you will love it. I felt totally pampered and glam! I took a few pics with me as a general idea and then they just interpreted what I was thinking of from chatting about it and what look would suit my dress and style of wedding. Let us know how it goes!

Wanchai - I would love to help with your OOS, but we are having a short civil ceremony so I have no idea what you need to do for a religious service. Sorry! Good luck with it though! :)

That's ok :) The reflection and the 'thank you to our guests' wording won't be religious - that's why I'm finding those difficult, can't just copy something from the Bible lol! :rotfl:

Cor blimey you lot can talk - right let me tackle this in stages:
Did anyone do their own invites? Where did you get nice card and envelopes?

Yep and as Lovecake has said - I highly recommend PDA cards. Was really happy with their customer services - I wanted to know which shade of white was 'normal' white and they were really helpful. As well as their card being really good value for money. They're based in Nottingham so are a 'proper' company rather than something like ebay.

Well if you are we are too. :) I think it's only natural that we fall out every now and then. As long as you know you're still solid as a rock that is all that counts. And yea - we just kinda slowly start talking to each other.

I know I want the majority of my hair down, and only up so that I can have my tiara and veil in. It will also have curls in it.

My hairdresser suggested having it to one side, like a 50s style, which sounds nice. I am not the most creative person so struggling to think of anything. I am planning to have my make-up as natural as possible as I don't really wear it and want to look like me on my wedding day.

Do you have any ideas for yours?

I have a few ideas. My hair is long, straight and naturally blonde. I don't want it curled, I know that much. I want it to be very simple, with my long fringe swept over to the side, no sticky-out bits or tendrils. I want to look like Grace Kelly lol!

I might have it all put up, as long as it's nothing too severe. Half up half down would be lovely, would need to ask if she thinks that it will get messy if it's a windy day though!! My veil is going to be long and positioned quite high, so that may influence the style. I like this do but would have it less 'messy' and with the bun at the back:

Does your hairdresser mean a low side bun? They're fab. :)

    Hey everyone

:j Tracey- thats fab news about your dress, and at least you will be ok if you find you do shrink a few inches and your rib cage goes back down.

Im having a side bun, its curled and then gripped onto a bun doughnut- I love it. Its similar to the one attached but not as messy and a bit more curled.

Well this evening I have ordered a card for oh to have on the day of the wedding. It has love hearts (sweets) on it and Ive edited it to say on our wedding day and wrote a little message inside.

Rachel- I got my flowergirl dress from BHS. I would also try next, m and s, debenhams, john lewis.

Wanchai- glad your feeling a bit happier now.

Melanie- love the thank you message.
