Smithkinson (do you have a proper name?)- :j on sorting out your cake today, hope you find your photographer soon.

Well we may be back to our original plan of a horseshoe shaped table! It mainly depends if a certain person comes, if they dont come we wont have problems and can have round tables, but if they do come I think it would be easier to seat them on a horseshoe table! Plus now Ive actually done a rough horseshoe plan I quite like it, so I guess I just need to wait until the rsvp deadline and then we can decide!!

LauraLou, sounds like your plans are coming together nicely.

Ghostlove- hope you can sort the rings out, if not could you get mse rings for the ceremony and then replace them with your ideal rings once they arrive? Or is there not any uk based companies that can do your rings? I dont know what you can do about the registry office payment- maybe you could ring and ask if you could pay a few weeks later (maybe when you give notice). I think it could be a Hampshire thing to pay 3 months before as Ive just checked my paperwork and I also have to pay the balance in full 3 months before.

We are getting married the 28th July, balance technically should be paid Saturday 28th April so I think ill ring them and ask if I can go in and pay Monday 30th April, I can get my passport form signed then aswell.

    Morning all

I still can't find a replacement hairdresser that doesn't want to charge loads! Anyone know any hairdressers in Buckinghamshire?

    X

Only just seen your post, where in Bucks are you looking at? I know of one in Aylesbury.

Have finally got through to BM, he will be coming to wedding, but new wife won't be - she'll have given birth the month before, and feels that she would be imposing on us, we don't care H2B explained that we would have both small nieces and another child wouldn't make a difference. At least we've now heard from him, though still a little put out as he comes down this way quite frequently, he lives in Suffolk, and we still haven't met his new wife.

On another note, we've been told by OH's mother that his aunt and granny won't be coming, but they won't tell us - granny is in a wheelchair and his aunt is trying to blackmail his mum into helping with granny. OH is annoyed, but would rather have his parents happy, than have them running around after his aunt and granny, when his aunt won't actually allow anyone to help!

Back to work tomorrow, it'll be nice as no students until the beginning of May, I think I'll be hiding in the basement sorting out the archive.

    Good morning everyone!
    My jobs for today:
    * Reshoot photos of my shoes now I've chosen the RC ones (hurrah it's stopped raining and the blue sky is out at the moment)
    * Dig around the stumps
    * Choose the final piece of music for the ceremony. (MrD's sister has agreed to be our other 'reader' and his mum is going to be our final witness :T).

Hope the sun stays shining for a bit - fed up of the rain we've had over the weekend!!

Unfortunately one of our new additions to the pond doesn't look very happy and probably isn't going to make it. :( (Suspect they have been poisoned by the plastics leeching - they are all in the main pond at the moment, and three of them look like they are doing okay - but one is not a happy camper).

And today is day 1 of project 'looking my best for the wedding'. Here on in I'm stopping eating chocolates/sweets, having three main meals, and not having take aways. Will slowly reintroduce portion control and exercise but one thing at a time.
  • Michelle- glad your best man is able to make it, and glad he has finally got back to you.

Im day off today, oh is going on a ferrari track day that he got for Christmas so im going to watch. So glad the sun is out at the mo!!

Natalie- thats a shame about one of the fish, were they in the seperate tank you had?

My watching my food is going to start again tomorrow, ive been terrible over the last 2 days, and I doubt today will be much better, but ill start again tomorrow and will go to the gym aswell!

They were - and it was the filter system's plastic that we think that wasn't good for them. So they are now in the big pond with the big fish. Fingers crossed the other three recover.

On a plus note - with the wet weather we'd had the mud is very easy to dig :D I'm going around all the stumps at the bottom of the garden (my estimate would be 15-20 with 1 proper silver birch tree stump) to make the hole deeper ready for MrD and his chainsaw.... is it me or is there is something very sexy about men with powertools/hammers... mmm can't beat a man weilding a sledgehammer :rotfl:.

Oh and his aftershave has come so I've squirrelled that away into his box. :) I have a shoe box of all his bits he will need for the wedding. :D Oh and I've also decided on the final piece of music for the ceremony. It's called "Taken by a cloud" which I thought was very fitting for our walk out of the ceremony room :) All we need to do now is decide who is reading which reading. I've sent them both to MrD's sister so she can have first dibs. :) Then that is the ceremony plan all done and ready to send off.

I've got the batteries on charge so that is my next job - take photos of shoes while the sun is high(er) in the sky. Then this afternoon I'll carry on digging :D

    Hello people :)

I've just got back from the hairdressers and have booked all my appointments between now and the wedding (it's only two ) I had my highlights put in today so they will have time to bed in, I want them to flash through the darker upper layers which I am going to have my usual dark chocolate colour.

I've booked in for an eyelash tint as well - can't remember if I mentioned that? If it's any good I'll have it done before the honeymoon, it's only a tenner! Save having to wear mascara.

Oh shame about your poor fish Natalie :( Poor thing.

Emma, I've been the same the last couple of day - diet pretty much went out the window! But have been good today and going to the gym later, as well as exercise planned all week.

Hope you are all ok xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

I am very impressed with all of you exercising!! :)

Well - after it looking really bleak for little fishy he has started swimming mid water (at one point this morning he couldn't hold himself upright and was barely 'gobbling'). One of the other fish has started eating which is a relief. Fingers crossed they are over the worst of it.

So today I've taken photos of my shoes, bit of a pain because of the contrast between my ivory shoes and MrD's black shoes making the ivory overexposed. But got there in the end. And re did the photo of MrD's buttonhole to make the red of his buttonhole to look redder and less orangy.
  • I have been to Cambridge today. My mum has come over from Shropshire to see the house so we all went wedding shopping. I got BM shoes, BM jewellery and BM strapless bra. I'll try and get pics later if possible. I also got my jewellery. I luuurve it!! It was all from Jon Richard in Debenhams. feel like I have achieved loads today.

Well Im back from Silverstone and oh is still in one piece! He thoroughly enjoyed himself and we had a lovely day, his Mum and Step dad came along aswell.

Mel- One thing I would recommend to get if you have your eyelashes tinted is a clear mascara- I find it just adds a nice shine to them.

Natalie- fingers crossed for little fishy, hopefully its a little fighter.

Melanie- :j on a successful wedding related shopping day.

Well I showed my my chief bridesmaid and my aunt my wedding hair photos and we are all in agreement it doesnt look quite right with the band hidden and that the band will have to be on shoe. I was also talking to mil2b earlier and we have decided what flowers I will have if I have a horseshoe table.
