God I am so confused by all you M-named people!! Sorry Michelle I have no idea how long I've been calling you Melissa for! And then there is Tracey who is a honorary M-named person in my head. I am crap! And the worst thing is once I've got it wrong once you just KNOW I will keep calling you it... I'm the same with kids at school!
No worries... Cannon copiers decided to call me Mitchell the other day!
International students also have a habit of calling me Michael... even though my email address and signature have my name.
Bored.... sat on reception desk in the office, means I can't do too much confidential/concentrating work... so busy catching up on posts and entering comps.0 -
Argh, my lunch is not going well!!
Todays food:
Breakfast - Golden syrup porridge with semi skimmed milk
snacks- yoghurt drink and plum and one chocolate bite size mini roll
Lunch- I had a sweetcorn and bacon chowder and didnt like it so had not even half a portion then I went to boots and got an indian style salad with tandoori chicken and a bhaji (looked yummy and was only 116 cals), but didnt like much of that either so just picked at the chicken and the little bhaji :rotfl:
boots shapers onion rings!0 -
sod it - dominos for tea
- NOT the best idea the night before weigh in but as I said - sod it!

Ouch- my muscles hurt!:rotfl:
I went to the gym after work today and did a good work out (especially as I argued with myself the whole 25 min drive from work as to whether to go or not!!), then came in a dinner wasnt great healthy wise, we had shepherds pie (I had a small portion) with some veggies.
Felt really good at work today, someone asked if I had lost loads of weight and said you could really tell!. (was feeling a bit down yesterday)

Ha I can't think what we've all been up to!
Tracey is still waiting for her big day
Mel2 has found a house to move into
Wanchai has deserted us for a week to go on holiday
Emma is having a big of a naughty food time at the mo
Michelle is busy climbing rocks
And me... still me
I'm bound to have forgotten all the important stuff :rotfl:
Good summary!Hi everyone - quick Q (if you guys don't know I'll have to post on the main forum and that's scary lol)
If our ceremony starts at 2pm in the church, what time should I put on the invitations for people to arrive by? I'm not one of these brides who's planning to be fashionably late so I do want it to start on time!
I want to put 1.30 but is that too late? I don't want people hanging round for ages.
xx
I *think* the etiquette for guests is to arrive between 20-30 minutes prior to the bride. This is for a church wedding mind, as a registry ask guests to be in 15 minutes prior and they seat them 10 minutes before the ceremony. the ushers and groom should be at the church approx 40 minutes earlier.biscuitmad wrote: »I havent been around much recently but have been busy on the wedding front:
Got OH, my dad, and Best mans suits sorted.
Booked Hog Roast
Booked DJ
Have delayed wedding by 30 mins so now 11.30 instead of 11am, still early but at least slightly better.
Have booked make up/hair.
have booked hotel for night before and wedding night
have all the alcohol for the bar for the night (what made me decide to do a free bar for the night i dont know but at least its done now only soft drinks to go)
Have made all the invites but broke the printer on the rsvp cards so need to get OH to print at work then can send out.
Got all the sweets for the sweetie table
made bottom layer of fruit cake 12inch, only 3 more fruit cakes (2x10 inch an 1x8inch) to make and then 3 tiers of sponge! Have bought the cake stands (yes i know 7 cakes is toooooo much but making cakes is my passion)
Think thats all of it but am starting to feel a little happier now as things are happening.
Take Care all
xx
Lots ticked off your list - well done you!
Well i have spent the weekend mostly emptying the loft and packing a few bits up and cleaning paintwork etc. I did manage to drag H2B around Ikea in Milton Keynes on Saturday. I love that place. I now have a headful of lovely ideas and things i want to do when i get moved. Hoping to hear something by the end of the week about our references etc and whether we can actually have the place! On a slightly bitter old lady note, we have only had 1 viewing for this house in nearly 2 weeks . . . . hahaha, i secretly hope it sits empty for a few months.
I also managed to find time on Sunday night to finish the day invites :j:j they are all in envelopes awaiting to be finally stuck down and posted out at the end of the month. I might send the USA out this week though so they have plenty of planning time, although they have received an STD magnet. Better get on with the evening ones now as there is lot more of those to make.0 -

Missed this post Emma - :j:T:j:T there all for you losing weight for other people can see the difference. Great achievement. i am hoping to join you soon but motivation is zero at the moment0 -
Biscuitmad - I'm super impressed by the sound of you making your seven cakes - are they going to be tiered? I wouldn't fancy balancing that lot!
Everyone else's food intake sounds very well-behaved - maybe that's why you're all shifting the pounds and i'm not. It seems like I'm either doing well in one area or another. Working, studying, keeping the house together, attempting to keep in touch with family & friends, wedding planning and exercising/eating well is pretty time-consuming! Excuses, excuses...
On the plus side, I have made tomorrow's very healthy Italian vegetable stew in advance tonight, so I can finish it off quickly tomorrow before body balance class.0 -
Good morning all - well given last night I had a medium Dominos pizza, a portion of chicken strippers and wedges, and tucked into some thorntons with a book in bed it is no surprise that I have 'gained' this week. BUT I know it isn't all fat given that yesterday morning I was 1.5lb down. Oh well - as long as it's a downward trend individual days/weeks don't count. The next time we'll have anything naughty will be the night of the Lincoln 10K - I really should try to keep my body in race form ha!
Had a really bizzare dream last night - I dreamt I had a mole on my back (which I do - but this one was on the wrong shoulder), that overnight had grown and was starting to stand up like a spot. So I knew I had to take it to the Doctors, but I didn't want them removing it and leaving me with a giant scar before the wedding! :rotfl:. Strange what wedding related dreams we can have!0 -
Natalie - I had a wedding dream last night too. First in a long time as well. It was the usual (for me) being late and not being able to get to the wedding reception. I had got married and we were all back at a house and i couldn't find a taxi or any transport and no one would hurry up and i remember it being 9pm and i was crying as my evening guests would be there and missing me! Then when i got there no one commented on my dress and my best friend was dressed in a mans suit and had gelled her lovely hair back! :rotfl: Mad dream!!!
I am still parked up in a layby (been here 3 weeks now:o) instead of on the diet motorway so i am avoiding reading how saintly you are all being. Well done on all the losses to date. I do keep reminding myself that i have lost over 20lb since i got engaged so it is something.0 -
Its my weigh in tomorrow and I really hope ive managed a maintain! Im having my hair coloured today so no gym tonight, I think Ill try a bit of exercise dvd if my abs arent hurting too much!
I think im going to tell people they need to arrive by 2.40 at the latest, because according to my paperwork Im meant to be there 15 mins before so I want everyone in and out the way before I leave!
Buscuitmad- you cake sounds amazing.
I really need to sort out my evening invites. They are all in envelopes ready to be labelled up, I just dont seem to remember it needs to be done when Im bored!
Mel youve done amazing to lose 20lb in total.0
