Hello ladies!
It's been about a month since I checked in, so I've had a look at what you've been up to over the last week and you all seem to be making good progress.
Congrats on the weight loss wanchai, and your necklace is fab MrsDrink!
I've only lost 2lb and need to lose a fair bit round my middle for my dress to fit well. I kind of wish I'd been able to buy it in a 12, but it was an end of line size 10, and I'm a big 12... I'm going to have to try a bit harder with the food and exercise.
It seemed like I was getting nowhere with the wedding tasks. I have split my to-do list by month, to make it seem more manageable. Aftera lot of hassle, several things seem to have clicked into place over the last few days:- Night before accommodation booked
- Spa treatment & manicure for BM & me day before booked
- Florist booked
- Chair covers booked
- Disco booked

They were my fave ones out of all the ones they had. Oh and they both tried their dresses on today. Older bridesmaid has lost weight and hers is now too big (hoping it can be easily taken in) and the younger bridesmaids dress fits fine. I got the older bridesmaid to try her shoes on with her dress and they looked really nice together (which is a relief!!), I forgot to get them to try their jewellery on though!0

Babyboots - Fab that so many things have clicked into place!!
Ha at 16 tasks for March!
You sound like me in terms of writing lists to make sure things get covered!
And I'm sure you will shed any weight you want toStick with us and we can all shed it together
I am feeling rather motivated today - but we're off to breakfast tomorrow at Frankie And Benny's I'm wondering how long it'll be before I cave in and have a sauage and egg muffin or whether I'll be good and stick with toast!! (boring!)0 -
Babyboots- sounds like your on a roll with your planning now.
Theres a few of us on here trying to lose weight aswell so if you want to join us for motivation your more than welcome.0 -
I really like the makeup Natalie
I agree with the fact that you need a bit more framing with your eyebrows, but as a self confessed make up addict I wouldn't buy one (unless you want one obviously!) I'd just use a brown eyeliner or a touch of brown eyeshadow applied with an angle brush - set it with hairspray!
The overall look is really nice though, especially the eyes - have I mentioned before I love eyeliner? I counted them not so long back - I have 46:eek: When I was at the Estee Lauder counter she was saying that loads of brides ditch the eyeliner on their wedding day to make them look more natural - the thought makes my blood run cold! I don't think I've gone a day without it since I was about 13! Surely you want your eyes to stand out!
I splurged in the Elizabeth Arden foundation that I was on about - but it wasn't too much of a splurge because I found it and their foundation brush on ebay for just £18.99 - the foundation itself is £24 in the shops! I think I'm going to try out a few ways of wearing it with a concealer and take a few photos to see how the coverage looks in pictures.
But I did make the mistake of trying out Bobbi Browns' 'Skin' foundation - which is lovely and gives a more 'dewy' effect than the EA. I'm going to try and get hold of a sample of it so I can try it for a few days like I did with the other one before buying it outright.
Well me and OH went to our 'marriage preparation' class today - it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! But the first question they made us discuss in small groups was "why is your OH the one you want to marry" lol - try and think about that question it's so hard! There were quite a few interesting questions that we had to discuss actually - I can post some more if anyone fancies a thought provoking evening with their OH :rotfl:
The second half was more useful - all about the practicalities of the service.
Oh and we have booked our rehearsal date - for Friday 13th July!!! DUN DUN DUUUUUUNNNNN:p:p

So here are the bargainous candles (£1.50 from Matalan, they are 15cm ones).
I did consider using some of my diamantes around the top and bottom of the ribbon but I thought it made them look cheap so took them off. It's not much for a centre piece - but I think it'll be enough for the tables without looking overly weddingy receptiony. Took me blooming ages to do though - I've secured the ribbon with pins. I took a pin used MrD's wire cutters to cut them so there was only about half a centimetre and a head and then pushed these into the candle to nip the ribbon. Then the back of the three candles are all pointing inwards so noone will see the pins.
Have decided I'll do a face full this afternoon - treat it as a reward for doing some housework ha!
Got asda coming this morning with the final bits of alcohol and fizzy drinks :T Another job ticked off. There is actually very little left to organise:
Pay for things.
Discuss the ceremony and find readings/music that we want.
Discuss what photos we'd like and let our photographer know.
Order the food to make our buffet and the ingredients for the cheesecake.
Find two nice photoframes to give to our parents with a photo from the day in.
Go for dress fittings and check that my shoes, necklace, hair and makeup all go.
The candles look great - I don't agree that it's not much for a centrepiece - I think they'll be just right.PinkPrincess83 wrote: »Hey everyone
Well foodwise I have been rubbish!
Yesterdays food was
orange club
warburtons thin with cheese, toasted with some rocket, tomatoes and cucumber
Beef monster munch
2 single archers and lemonade
2 double archers and lemonade
Indian- pompadoms, starter of 3 tiny lamb chops in spices, main was half a vegetable rice and a lamb curry and a few bites of naan
Todays food:
Jacket spud with tuna mayo and cheese
No idea what else ill have today, and Ive been rubbish with exercise aswell!
Natalie- I really like the candles.
Well Ive been cleansing and using the day cream for a few days now, and my skin on my face is much better- however, for the last 2 days Ive had a rash on my neck, I thought it was just as Ive had a stressful few days but now im wondering if its to do with what im using, I did think surely if I was allergic to something in it my whole face would be rashy, but both my sister and oh said maybe my neck is more sensitive, so I really dont know what to do!
Our best situation is sorted- basically our best man (ohs brother) rung a few weeks ago to say he was touring in July and it really didnt look like he would be able to get back for the wedding (without it then costing him all the money he had earnt touring), so we have now asked oh really good friend to be best man and he was so chuffed, so thats sorted and they will be going suit shopping hopefully next weekend.
Is the rash on your next all around your neck or just in a patch? I'd do what Natalie suggested and stop using the products - what is it you are using?

Oooo all exciting Mel1!!
"Why is MrD the one I want to marry?" See for me this is a fairly easy question because I never actually wanted to get married. The day I realised I wanted to get married was the same day I realised why I wanted to be married to MrD and only MrD. If he continued to say no forever I would have made do (albeit with some complaining ha!). The reason I want to marry him? Because he stood by me when all I threw at him was crap.I had a really bad year in my second year of teaching - I should have called my union in, which cumulated in my Head of Department writing me a letter informing me of all my short comings as a teacher (mostly crap). I was incredibly stressed, depressed and unhappy that year (I've never cried as I drove to work like I did that nearly every day for atleast the latter half of that year) so I would come home and just generally be a cow. I can't imagine I was a nice person to live with, but he was a star - he stood by me, hugged me when I allowed anyone in (I believed them and didn't want anyone to know I was crap, I was ashamed), but just generally acted like a wall for me to kick. At the end of that year, when I got a job I enjoyed and where I was respected, and my self-worth grew I realised what I'd gone through, and what I put us through, and it was then that my heart opened up so massively I didn't think it was possible. I then knew that I wanted to be MrsD. I wanted to show the world exactly how much I loved him and how grateful I was that he chose me.
(pass the sick bucket! Ha!)
So go on then what was your answer?
I do LOVE my eyes in the photos above. I am going to carry on playing though.Next time I will try it without the eye liner, and see if I can smudge the brown around the outside/under a little bit more and see how that looks. Honestly it looked fab in real life but in the photos the actual eye shadow looked a bit paler.
Ooo good idea about the eyebrows... although I did like the pencil that Mac used when I had a make over there... will see how much I can get it for and make a decision

H2b is finishing last invite
. Then we'll do the rounds with them tomorrow.
Went climbing today, managed a couple of hours. Will probably go again next Friday afternoon as both of us are off work, might even go to Wales to do some wild camping next weekend if weather ok.0
