Oh, they're lovely shoes! Yes, PM me a pic of your dress, would love to see it and see what I can find0

Firstly Melanie - lol I keep getting so tempted to call you Mel - but then I'd get confused with Melissa!!
Have a look here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2967968
From Emma's post number 1651This is from July when we were discussing different sorts of wedding cakes we could have.
In my opinion a photography student who is building a portfolio should be working for free!! Certainly not for £200! We're paying £200 for 2 (to 3, but we won't need him for that long) hrs of a professional photographer to cover our ceremony. http://www.furlongphotography.com/
Haha maybe we should be Mel1 and Mel2! I always go to type 'Nat' when I direct something to you (cuz I'm lazy lol) then change it in case people dont call you that!
I've just got in from body combat so that's a few more calories burned, zumba tomorrow and then I'll probably go gym on friday so am hoping to lose another couple of pounds when I weigh in on Saturday.
Just a short hello from me tonight as I'm on my phone but I'll try and catch up properly tomorrow xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Just wanted to say that MrsDrink's dress is AMAZING0

:j I lost 1.5lb this week. Really hoping I can maintain a small lose each week, will be aiming for 1lb a week but even 0.5lb would be good. (I tried whispering this but my net book wouldnt let me- whisper as Im too scared Ill mess up and eat crap again soon!!)
Natalie- Im glad you linked that page as I thought I was going mad or having deja vu when I read that thread.:D
Wanchai- I agree with Natalie about photos. I have gone with someone who takes nice photos but isnt mega expensive and there are more creative and photographers about, but for me it was decided by 1) budget and 2) that Im not that into photos but would like one or 2 nice ones of us. I do agree with others, I think the most a student could charge would be for expenses. Have you tried local vw clubs? Or considered an old style beetle- ive seen them before in cream as a wedding car and they look fab.
Alice (wxy) do we get photos? sounds like youve had a really productive few weeks.
Have been round mil2bs tonight and have decided Im going for baby pink sashes on my chair covers. So I think ill get some baby pink card to go with my table names and will incorporate in the stationary that will be on display on the day.0 -

I dont watch it that much as it seriously puts me off, but the couple this week seemed so sweet on the clip that they showed at the end of last weeks episode that I thought I would watch it, but forgot about it. (I dont usually watch it as it really honestly puts me off!!):o0

Registrar £375 (is it wrong to begrudge having to pay this much for 15mins) They can charge that because they charge there travel time and fuel to and from your venue. They should do it for free!!:rotfl:
Hog roast £350 inc the pig, stuffing, apple sauce and 120 rolls (I'll make my own salads..we have 60 guests but i figured there should be leftovers) That is a good price, my friend has been quoted twice that for 100 guests
Dj - £170 a local guy who helped me out with fundraising last year :j
Photographer - now, I was quoted £200 by a photography student who wants to build a rep. Problem is I have now seen photos she has done of other weddings and to be frank, they are not good!!! I have however seen someone else who charges £250 and has a good selection of past work to look at.. Students should definetly do it for expenses only. Its his portfolio he is building on it. imo I would pay a little more just for the piece of mind. You don't get to go back and try again!!
Car £80.. My brothers friend has just got a brand new Jaguar.. asked him if I can pimp it with ribbons and give him £80 and an invite to the evening and he seems up for it
Wine for the tables - I feel like I should pay for a bottle of each colour on each table.. looking at around £200 for this..would you do it or not? We are putting wine on the tables and after that they will have to use the bar. One thing i wish i could afford is a free bar nightHaha maybe we should be Mel1 and Mel2!
I am known as Mel to all my friends i only use Melanie when i answer the phone at work and attend meeting!julybride81 wrote: »I willI am Natashajayneh on Pinterest
Well i too watched TV last night and cried for 2 hours. I watched DIY sos followed by One born every minute. Made me go all broody again . . . H2B said No!!!:rotfl:
I have feeling i am going to be throwing a mini strop later. (not wedding related, sorry) because I had a 'pre weigh in', weigh in this morning. The scales actually read 0.5lb heavier. I have been saintly all week again. 100%. I have written down absolutely everything that has gone in my mouth, yet still i'm not losing. I haven't done any exercise beacuse of my achilles. It is still swollen and i am not looking for any excuses but maybe the water around my ankle is showing on the scales?? Am i sounding desperate for an excuse as to why its not moving? I am soooo disheartened and could just stuff a big fat belgian bun in my mouth
Weigh in at 5.30pm, strop at 5.35pm, cake in mouth by 6.00pm and crying with despair at having to be fat forever by 6.10pm. x0
