Oh thanks Mel, ill show her tomorrow and see what she thinks. I dont mind risking that her feet may or may not grow at that price.
I dont know, I think its up to you. When I was last bridesmaid we went in first, the other 2 bridesmaids had their daughters with them as they were flowergirls, so it went them, me then the bride and her dad. The last wedding I went to the bride went first with her bridesmaids behind. I think either way is fine, Im undecided- do I walk in first so the first thing he sees is me (looking stunning!!:rotfl:) or do I let them walk in first then I walk in and get the final wow! -The one thing I will make sure is that I dont walk at snails pace- not that Im going to be sprinting or anything but the last wedding I went to the bride walked first followed by her bridesmaids and they did the slowest possible walk you could imagine.0 -
There was a thread on here a bit ago about the order of bridesmaids and brides. I think it is down to what you want
Whether you want them to trot off down the aisle first and get the crowd warmed up, or whether you want them to follow you to make sure your train is just perfect

Having my dithery old granddad (lol) walking with me down the aisle will slow me down somewhat... lol other wise I may be tempted to bolt it down there - get it over and done with before he can change his mind :rotfl:0 -
haha- no pulling your grandads arm at the socket as you whizz down the aisle NAtalie. I think going slow because your with you grandad will be lovely (as its natural), but this was like a delibrate one step, next step to bring the feet together, pause for a second or 2, next step etc.
Ok, I think I may go for (my aisle is short) younger bridesmaid and flowergirl walk in together and halfway down then get my older bridesmaid to follow, wait till they get to then end then Ill walk in with my step dad- this way all attention will be on me (not that I like attention but its our day and I want mainly oh to focus completely on me) and by getting bridesmaids out the way all the aaahs would have been done (i am worried ill be outshone by my 4 year old flowergirl so ill get her out the way first!!:rotfl:)0 -
Mel have you checked your email's spam/junk folder? I know Debenham's emails always end up in there after the first email to confirm the order. :S
I'll give them till Tuesday I think.

Oh I know, that weird step-together-step thing is so odd, it must take so long if you have a big aisle! Surely on the day you won't want to spend ages walking, you'll just want to be there at the front marrying your bloke?! Mind you I'll probably do my normal speed walking and trip over haha

My train is quite long, but I reckon ill just get it all smoothed out just before we enter and it will be fine. Im 95% sure ill be sending them in first, just so I have a couple of seconds to compose myself. I am very worried I may trip over my dress (i am laughing to myself at an image of me getting to the of the aisle and falling towards my oh!!:rotfl:). Haha- Im not asking my sisters what they want- they would probably opt for walking in with the rest of the guests and being sat ready for me to enter! I may give them a choice who walks with the flowergirl and who walks on their own- but thats it!!:D0

I would think walking along in itself will straighten it out anyway won't it, you just need to spread it out before you start. It will all be fine on the day! I have had many thoughts about tripping, falling etc - the perils of getting married in a old church with wonky floors! Why couldn't these 12th Century builder be more considerate and use a spirit level

Silaqui - wow, WELL DONE on the 5lb loss!!!:j That's truly amazing x
Also, congrats to Prescott's WTB for getting her dress so damn quickly and within budget!!!!!!:T *impressed*
Natalie - I agree, writing lists is great fun!!!PinkPrincess83 wrote: »Mel- I need ivory. Im hoping ivory will go anyway! Their dresses are dark pink and they will be having ivory flowers and ivory pearl jewellery so im hoping it will all tie in and look ok.
I do keep having bridesmaid dress wobbles but im sure once they are on and their hair is done and with the accesories it will look ok. I think its because they arent 'tradtional' bridesmaid dress style that im worrying!
Ooooh, what are your BM dresses? My BM's dress isn't very 'bridesmaidy' either and that's exactly what I wanted!
Silaqui - I'm having my BM walk down the aisle first, she and my mum can sort out my train beforehand. I'll wait until she gets to the altar and then Mum and I will make our grand entrance!!I'm TERRIFIED of crying on the way up the aisle as my dad won't be there and I'll be an emotional wreck - all day in fact
but I guess it will happen, and I'll have WP mascara on.
