  • I know pulling a golf trolley doesnt sound like much exercise but i think i actually did some good toning- the grass was wet and slippery so I had to keep a good grip with my legs when walking up and down the hills and I had to keep a good grip on my trolley so I didnt let go otherwise it would have taken me out with it!! :p

I think we are all doing fab at the mo. Im on half day tomorrow as the boiler needs a service so im going to chill then prepare myself for my run!!

what's everyone doing for their hen party? I'm not really a drinker so don't just want a night out, like the spa day idea but don't want to make it too expensive. thought of somewhere like bluestone or a cottage if costs can be split between a few of us, so just looking for ideas really as i'm a bit stuck! doesn't matter where it is

I'm kind of sharing one! My best friend gets married in June. Seen as we work together and have the same close work mates we are going to Center Parcs. There will be 5 of us in a chalet with sauna for 6 people. We are paying £104.00 each for 3 nights. We are having a spa experience on top at £35 each. We plan on taking our own healthy food to keep costs down. Also planning a cocktail night there so we'll take own alcohol for that too.

I'll probably just have a meal and drinks with all my friends nearer my date. Nothing flash unless I can think of something 'different' to do.

Well, I had a £20 off £100 spend code, would have been rude not to...
It certainly would lol! Thanks for the congrats :)

I have absolutely no idea what to do for my hen night - I don't even think I really want one but doubt I'll be allowed to get away with that. I'd be happy with a trip to Alton Towers or something!

I haven't done anything weddingy today except for staying on the weightloss wagon lol.

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o
  • Melanie- youll have a fab time at centre parcs. When I went we went a few hours in the swimming pool on the Friday, settled at our chalets (we made sure they were next to each other) then we had a pj party, it was so much fun, then on the Saturday we did the high ropes first thing in the morning and then went to the safari park which was next door, in the evening we got a takeaway (on site) and then went to the on site disco- which was suprisingly a giggle and on the Sunday we had the spa day and then went to strada for dinner, it was such a fab weekend, and im sure yours will be just as much fun.

Mel- Alton Towers would be fab, I love it there.

Me and oh have decided on our final daytime guestlist so I may finish the invites tomorrow. I will have to redo 4 invites so as long as it works on my pc ill do them tomorrow afternoon. (and after that no one is being added to the list and their better not be any more relationship breakups!!:rotfl:)

Not sure yet tbh, I will leave it to my BM :D All your plans sound great, ladies. :T
Nice shoes! You could get 2 looks from those by adding shoe clips on them. 2 for 1 bargain :rotfl: They are easy to make yourself from simple highstreet brooches:

Oh, those are fab!!!!!!!! Shoe clips! What will they think of next?? :rotfl: I so can't wait to get my shoes, sigh.

Well done on the running btw!!! You are doing so well, and going with your OH will make it more sociable x :j

Thanks for the guest book idea. I just bought a vintage map of Ireland on eBay and will cut out a heart, will try to get the area that OH and I are from inside the heart shape - thankfully our home towns are only 50 miles apart!!! So it'll be totally personal to us :D Yay!

My mum's outfit for the wedding is STUNNING, she will look so beautiful in it. I'm chuffed to bits for her, she was worried about shopping for her MOB outfit and I can tell that she's relieved to have it ticked off the list! Bless her. She just needs shoes and jewellery and she's set.

Also, she has lent me her own vintage pearl earrings and a matching bracelet for the wedding. They are so perfect stylewise for my dress, very Grace Kelly (OK, I am obsessed!). I will be so happy to wear them on the day. I am feeling a little emotional about it all lol. sAIT41ohNpqGEAAAAASUVORK5CYII= And that'll save me £££s on buying jewellery for the wedding, very MSE too! :D :money:

Arms are aching today, went to the Outdoors Show in London Saturday and had a go at indoor climbing and went on a 500ft zip wire! There was a stand from the Isle of Wight there, and the girl we spoke to knows our venue and says that it's lovely.... put me in a good mood.

Also found out yesterday that there will be a third small person at our wedding, it will be a very new baby, the best man's wife is expecting, and she's 18 weeks. I must admit I had a slight bridezilla moment and am feeling like everyone around me is having children.

Feeling a bit down about it all at the moment.

That's good about your venue btw, always good to have someone else endorse your choice. :)

I have noticed that you post really late at night. I am tucked up in bed by 10.30am!! Are you a night owl?

My best friend has given out her wedding invites today (we work together) and they are gorgeous. She had them made by a woman we met at a local wedding fayre. They look so professional and the way she has listed the day reads so well:

Deb and Paul invite you to a summer ball to celebrate their wedding on Monday 4th etc. The ceremony will take place in the ballroom followed by wedding breakfast, live music, BBQ and casino at such and such hotel. dress code black tie and formal evening dress.

How posh does that sound!?! My homemade invites and simple wording are going to look pants next to that. I'm not bridezilla about it (honest) as she's a good friend and i am so happy for her as she had the most awful previous marriage and divorce but i will be inviting alot of the same guests and people will compare, its only natural. I may have to go back to the drawing board again for round 4!!!!!!! :rotfl:
