Easy peasy wanchai - buy a nice blank good quality notebook from Paperchase, John Lewis or the likes and play with the front. You can buy blank wooden heart shapes from a craft store or online and then use a page from a map or an atlas to cover them using pva glue and then glue gun or super glue to your front cover.

OR you could 'obtain' a small square of wadding. Glue this to the cover and then using a glue gun cover the wadding with a nice cream linen material. Then you could add the wooden hearts or tags or buttons or lace etc etc.

    I'm thinking of this idea - http://www.etsy.com/listing/89830191/vintage-style-wedding-guest-book?ref=sr_gallery_26&sref=&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=guest+books&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade

I thought if i make the heart blanks and put them in a bowl on the night with the a notice board like that in the link and ask guests to fill them in and then peg them to the twisted willow branches (i am having my wedding favors hanging from the willow which my uncle is sourcing for me) then i can pick the best ones and frame them with the newspaper hearts when i get back from honeymoon. Thus giving me another project to look forward too!!

Well today i have done 2 x first evers. I have brought a proper pair of running trainers and been out for yet another run. Thats 3 in a week now :T Can't believe i'm still focused. I usually run once, it kills me, i hate it and i wait at least 10 years before i try again!! And the other first is that H2B came with me. I have never exercised with a bloke in my life!! I always exercise in the dark on my own. :rotfl: it is safer for all mankind that way.

Nice shoes! You could get 2 looks from those by adding shoe clips on them. 2 for 1 bargain :rotfl: They are easy to make yourself from simple highstreet brooches:

what's everyone doing for their hen party? I'm not really a drinker so don't just want a night out, like the spa day idea but don't want to make it too expensive. thought of somewhere like bluestone or a cottage if costs can be split between a few of us, so just looking for ideas really as i'm a bit stuck! doesn't matter where it is
  • Well done on the running Melanie- your doing very well.

I have been to the gym today, which I was pleased with myself for doing because I ached from yesterdays golf- it involved a lot walking and quite a bit was up and down hill pulling my golf trolley!! I am going for my first in a while jog with my friend tomorrow at 5. Im not too sure how far we will aim for yet.

Wanchai- Im having problems finding and linking online. If I can find it (or the post where I have linked it before I will show you.

Im having not one, not 2 but 3 hen dos!!
First one is a complete suprise being organised by a very good friend, no idea what it involves apart from that its 2 nights away and its cost (I think my sister may even be packing my case!!)
Number 2 is a night out in the town that I work in with all my work friends, I dont think it will be exclusive to us girls though as we may drag my boss and his wife along! This will be a meal and few drinks.
Number 3 is just a couple of nights away with my 2 older sisters, mum and one of my aunts, this is to a holiday park but apparently they have fab entertainment and a spa and lots to do and as my sister has a holiday home there it works out very cheap and im just looking forward to us all spending time together as its something we dont do much off.

pbny- have you been looking on groupon, living social, kgb deals- you may get a very good deal. Or how about centre parcs? I went on a hen weekend there and there was 12 of us so 6 in each cabin and it was about £70 each accomodation, and it was so much fun, and my fave part was the spa afternoon, I think as me and a friend booked together it worked out £35 each but it was so relaxing and lovely. I will have a think about other ideas.

Hey guys - well I have spent since 9am working so I'm a bit frazzled to say the least. All I can say is it had better be bloody worth it lol.
Well today i have done 2 x first evers. I have brought a proper pair of running trainers and been out for yet another run. Thats 3 in a week now :T Can't believe i'm still focused. :T:T:T:T On both counts!! I bet you notice a difference running in your own proper running trainers. I do love mine - they are nice and wide and when my feet swell up they have somewhere to go! I am really OCDy though and they are saved just for running in - lol don't want to wear their cushioning away on just lounging about! :D
And hurrah for MrFC going with you - lol I hope he was kinder than MrD is to me - he is my pace setter - and while I do hate it during the runs (I run diagonally behind him - forever trying to catch up to him) it does mean I have a relatively good pace! :D Does he run much or is a beginner too? You will both have to sign up to the 10K in 2013! :D Another project for you! :rotfl:

I am having a very sedate one with just me and my CBMIIWHO (Chief Bridesmaid If I Was Having One). We're going to get our hair done first (it's 3/4 days before the wedding), then going to get a pedicure/manicure/body scrub, then off for a meal at my fave restaurant. I'm paying for it all - I figure it's me wanting to do these things so it's only fair that she isn't out of pocket - especially when she will be paying out to come to the reception (hotel etc).

:T:T Yay at all the exercising we're doing at the moment. Lol will work those arms heaving your golf trolley about - lol you'll have to get rid of the trolley and carry the bag :p
