Well what i really need to wedding related is a bit boring so im trying to think of something thats fun! WHat I need to do is go through all my paperwork and write down exactly when I need to pay for things, book things etc and I also need to sort out the guest list but oh is on his laptop at the mo, and I need to do it when I can get his full attention.

Hi all

Well I have rewarded my weight loss with 2 cans of strongbow and a pizza haha so will have probably put it all back on tomorrow lol!

I haave made myself a big long list of things to do but I am pretty on the ball with things lately - I've planned out when everything is to be paid for and stuff aswell. The things I should be doing, I can't be bothered... ought to start writing out some invitations but...

I'm a bit annoyed at the moment because my debenhams order with the shoes hasn't been dispatched yet - I ordered in on New Years eve! I know they have the shoes in store so I'm very tempted to just cancel the order and go and buy them and return them.

That is really odd Mel - I have had 3 orders with Debenham's since Christmas and have just placed my 4th one. Have you tried giving them a call and finding out what is going on?

Other than the invites - the next thing for us to do is to sort out MrD's ring. Really need to drag him to a jewellers so I can start pricing things up ready for pay day (I hate January - lol pay day is the last day it could possibly be this month!) I *might* suggest to him that we go look next Saturday during his lunch break lol that'll please him lol. The price of gold has dropped since 3 or so months ago - back to where it was 6 months ago when I got my ring. The place I got my ring from fluctuates his rings in line with the price of gold (well it would appear that way anyway) so I really want to get MrD's sorted.

I know roughly when things needs paying, but need to get myself a bit more organised cos otherwise it will come to April (everything seems to be happening in APril) and everything will need doing and ill probably miss something out

In April I need to:
Pay dj deposit
get passport form signed by registrar, send off
pay honeymoon balance
book seats on flight
meet caterer
rsvps are due in
Take dress for alterations (I emailed her 11 days ago and havent heard a thing, im not too sure when to chase her)
Ill probably have hair and make up trials in APril
Balance for my surpise hen do will probably be due

There are otherthings I need to do aswell so I just feel I need to get sorted otherwise Ill be flapping on here by May!!:rotfl:

Mel- I would be tempted to go to Debenhams and buy them if they have them all in stock.

Well Ive had a little look on bhs at flowergirl shoes and my younger bridesmaid shoes, they have some really sweet flowergirl shoes so I will wait until much closer but fingers crossed they will still have them (she has wide feet and the ones I really like come in a wide fitting, so fingers crossed they will be ok, if not im not sure where to go without spending a fortune), my younger bridesmaid will probably be the one thats a pain, she also had wide feet, and at 11 has bigger feet than me, I reckon she will be a wide size 6 by the wedding, but trying to find nice but wide and flat may be difficult!! She has to have flat cos she is also taller than me!!:rotfl:

I know it's weird, never had debenhams take so long before. I've had an email off them saying that 3 of the items have been despatched but the rest haven't (bear in mind this is a £350 quid order!) but then nothing to say they are in store ready for collection, and apparently the rest of the items have never been despatched. Might be popping into town tomorrow so might buy the shoes from the shop and then just return them when they eventually get here. Pain!

Emma, what colour do you need the size 6 wide fit BM shoes to be?

Mel- I need ivory. Im hoping ivory will go anyway! Their dresses are dark pink and they will be having ivory flowers and ivory pearl jewellery so im hoping it will all tie in and look ok.

I do keep having bridesmaid dress wobbles but im sure once they are on and their hair is done and with the accesories it will look ok. I think its because they arent 'tradtional' bridesmaid dress style that im worrying!

Ah right - well I know this is a bit iffy being as I've had problems with them at the minute but I tried these on in Debenhams the other week and they were a good fit ( I have size 6 wide feet too!) £12 in the sale at the min.

I'm sure they will look lovely, as long as they are not following you down the aisle in trackie bottoms! Incidentally, do the bridesmaids walk down the aisle before or after the bride? You always see those weddings where there have the little kid walking in front of the bride, is that the right way? Or is the bridesmaid meant to go afterwards to sort out the dress (like the royal wedding?)

Mel have you checked your email's spam/junk folder? I know Debenham's emails always end up in there after the first email to confirm the order. :S
