Hi Tasha
I love that flower/ brooch bouquet, I havent seen one mixed like that but it looks fab (The big brooch that it pretty much n the middle is the same as the one I am having on the ribbon that ties all the stems together), I think that really works. Where in the country are you?
There are a few of us trying to loss weight at the moment so if you need any encouragement we can help you. My one thing I would say is just make sure you eat sensibly- some fad diets may make you lose weight but it can be difficult to maintain and you may end up feeling drained etc and you wouldnt want to feel like that leading up to and on your wedding day. The Monsoon bridal dresses are lovely, and very good prices. The dessy dress is lovely aswell. I have a tiara (which I love), its a side one with diamante and pearls, and I have a veil, but Im not actually sure I will wear the veil, but it was a bargain so I go it so I have one if I want one!
Well I still havent heard back from dress maker, its been about 8 days now. I think I will leave it till its 2 weeks then will contact her again. I know I have plenty of time but I dont want to be rushing round last minute trying to find someone to alter it.0 -

I have a dress, problem is its a size 14/16 (it was an ebay bargain - brand new Dessy 1004 for £50!!) and I am a 22 (!) so I am trying to diet (currently on soup and 1 meal a day) and vaguely realise that I may not get into it so I am also keeping an eye on Monsoon bridal stuff as I quite like them. I am looking for a pair of wide fit size 8 shoes to buy and then customise myselfI am not sure whether I will wear a hair flower or whether I want a tiara (when else will I get to wear one?!?!). I kind of do want a veil as I don't like my arms much and will like them even less post weightloss!! I would love to put this together for a bouquet pinterest.c om/pin/17732992252475998/
I would love to say you'll lose the weight no problem but in reality you are asking yourself to lose nearly 4 stone in 6 months (1 stone equating to a dress size) . . . thats a lot of pressure! The dress is stunning though and a bargain. Could you perhaps have altered a little if necessary. Even with seamstress charges its still a good deal. Good luck with your weight loss journey. I think most of us on here want to lose a little something . . . . or a lot like me!!
Had a good week so far though and i'm back on track. still contemplating SW tomorrow night for the new books and some inspiration and focus.
Jealous your shoes have come Natalie, i'm still waiting for mine but they have been dispatched, so maybe tomorrow. Shame they don't fit and your are more patient than me waiting for a fitting! I would be knocking there doo down to try the sample dress on every weekend!! I have managed to leave my dress in its bag for a whole 7-8 weeks. Not trying on til i have lost another half stone. Its still at least a size to small even after losing a stone0 -
Hi All
Can i join please, im getting married on 14th July 2012.
We are really behind on getting everything booked, we have the venue booked and the registar (need to get banns sorted but have lost my decree absolute so am awaiting a new one), i have a dress ordered although i am being optimisitic and have ordered it 3 sizes smaller than i am now!
I will be making my own cake (5 tiers) and my own favours, but apart from that we havent decided on food! As yet, no photographer, no dj, no flowers etc etc!
Ah now i have wrote all that am starting to panic slightly oops!!!!0 -
hey guys. Today I finally booked my wedding insurance (I have been a bit lax in that area). I had to do it as the venue wanted to know who it was with for the public liability insurance. Am fast running out of things to do until April.
Have started looking at flowers.
Bridesmaid Bouquet
My Bouquet - wanted to pull in the colour in my dressor
My OH has the Olympic countdown on his computer at work as we get married the day after the opening ceremony.
Welcome to the new brides you seem very organised
mitchmotch - I am also in Southampton - small world - and am getting married on 28th July at the University of Southampton
On a non wedding note I have 7 1/2 weeks until my due date and everyone keeps telling me I am going to be early due to my size and the fact that the baby is half engaged already. Am trying not to freak out over the amount of stuff that needs to be prepared before he gets here.0 -

Lots of newbies! How exciting, welcome to the thread. I lost my decree absolut also and had to pay £60 for a copy! Still its worth it to get a new surname :rotfl:0 -
Sorry guys after I posted I realised I missed a whole page of messages, don't know how.
Realised bridesmaid bouquet picture not showing
Mitchmotch - We looked at the rosebowl but I have always loved the University of Southampton and dreamed of getting married there.0 -
Tracey- I love the bouquets. Oh not long now till your bubba is here. At least the wedding is all under control so you will be able to put that aside for a while.
Biscuitmad- you have plenty of time, done panic yet. Welcome to this thread, your in the right place to help get organised:D.
Tasha- Im not having a hog roast. We looked into it but it came up quite expensive- you have a very good quote, I looked at similar (hog with baps, stuffing and someone to carve) and it came up about £600.0 -
Love the bouquets Tracey!
Only 7 weeks to go . . . how time flies. My daughter was head down and engaged from 32 weeks and she was still a week late as the little monkey kept teasing me. I should of known she'd cause me stress from those early days!!!! all you can do it put your feet up, relax and enjoy the rest while you can. Keep us posted.0 -

Welcome - will add you to the list as soon as I've written this post.
Please don't panic or worry about your planning. There is still 6 months to go till your wedding. Yes it will feel like it's flying by but that is still about 180 days - that is a lot of days in reality. You will be absolutely fine!! Just make sure you don't read how much some of us *cough* me *cough* have got planned so far - we're *cough* I'm *cough* just an organised freak. xHave started looking at flowers.

Those flowers are lovely Tracey!! I do like Calla lillies.I think they are really elegant.
And oooo at your baby being early. In my non-pregnant, non-parent mind you won't ever be fully prepared for your bundle of joy. And in for the rest of your life you won't ever feel like your 100% ready lol.
But I'm absolutely certainly you will manage and everything will go very well.
