Zara- Im sure if you shop about you would be able to source the items for the fishbowls fairly cheaply. Can you get artifical floating roses?

I went to the gym :) feel good for having done it. Typing on my phone which I don't really like so this will be short and sweet but hello and welcome Zara *waves*

Gotta go and wash my hair now so will catch up on here tomorrow... I've stupidly signed up to do a body combat class tomorrow so will probably be mostly moaning about being knackered! Xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Hurrah!! Lol I will carry on talking to you now then.

Regarding Order's of service. The only church thing I went to was MrD's cousins' vow renewals. They had a OOS... it was crap :rotfl:. It was a single sheet of A4 printed on plain white paper, and folded in half - no crafting involved. Lol. (Such a stationery snob!) Anyway they just had the words for the hymns - which were wasted on us cause we didn't join in (we're not religious). *If* I was having a church wedding I would be doing OOSs - I think I'd include copies of readings as well. I know there are threads on here about what to include. I'd also make them fit in with all the other stationery :D Not that I'm OCDy at all you understand.

Every now and then I get little flutters of butterflies - god knows what I'll be like in the final run up to the wedding!!
  • Last church wedding I went to had oos and it matched her invites and other stationary (name cards, table numbers etc), I think it was a nice touch that it all matched. Im sure it had the readings in it aswell. If I was having a church wedding I would have oos, they wouldnt have to be that fancy but I would make sure it was more than just some plain paper folded in half!!:D

Mel- well done on going to the gym.

Im quite calm at the mo, the only thing that makes me nervous is the feeling that I may become a nervous blubbering wreck on the day just as Im about to say my vows! What would I do then??

Oh when I saw my friend tonight I told her she would be doing my eyelashes for me (she does the false ones that last for a while) that way because they are dark I wont need mascara so that would be one less thing to worry about. She did also say about spray tans- now I wouldnt want to be tanned but I am worried that my strap marks from last summer may be visable so am wondering whether it could help blend it in (not as in oompa loompa!!:rotfl:)- I may have to get her to do a few trial runs!

If you search for fake tans I'm sure there are some success stories as well as cautionary tales incase the tan rubs off on your dress. Me? I'm going for the 'stay in the shade' or 'cover myself with sunblock' strategies until our wedding. I don't really tan much anyway, and I embrace my English rose look, but I don't want strap marks! Lol I go some fetching ones after all the Races for Life I ran last year. This year doing to the 10K in March which won't be sunny, and a 5K at the end of June - which I plan on slapping the highest factor I can find, and only staying out in the sun for the run - will hide in the shade the rest of the time. :D
Right bed time! (Grrr another lateish night!)

FutureCooper - well done on the jogging!!!! :D
:j Wanchai for getting your dress, and that youve found your bridesmaid dress. and also :j on sorting out your readings. My friend got married in a church but she was allowed the hands reading so I think some churches would allow non religious readings.

From the weddings Ive been to in a church the oos have included the words to hymns and prayers/ readings, if you didnt have them Im not sure how people would know the words.

In Catholic churches the congregation doesn't join in! :rotfl: There's usually a choir or singer.

Thanks for the tip-off about the readings. I actually like the religious readings at weddings :o but also love the readings and poems I've read on here. :)

Yikes @ the piece of paper as an OOS!!!! :rotfl: I'd sooner die than do that at our wedding lol.

Welcome to Zara!!! Yay, another disorganised bride! :rotfl: It's good to have you on board my lovely. :)
