meat balls:
Mince, any dried herbs you've got (I usually put in parsley and oregano), and chopped onion. Give it all a really good squish in your hands/fingers so it all becomes one giant thoroughly mixed ball. Roll into balls and grill (healthier than dry frying).
In a saucepan heat up chopped red pepper till soft. Add a tin of chopped tomatos, or some tomato passata. Heat through. Add meat balls. Add some chopped fresh basil before serving.
YUM!
Serve with roast veg and/or a bit of spaghetti.0 -
Melanie- Im sure once christmas is over you will find the motivation to be good- I really hope I find it aswell!!:D.
Well I weighed myself today, and thought I had definately put on the 3lb I had lost a few weeks back- couldnt believe it when the scales said I was the same, no idea how I maintained! Im full of cold and have earache at the mo so havent made it to the gym this week yet, hopefully will go tomorrow and saturday- I like to go on a sunday aswell but there a local derby football match (my team vs traceys:rotfl:) so I dont plan on leaving the house until a few hours after its finished!
Wanchai- collage pie, or burritos, homemade burgers, meatballs, lasagne, tacos, stuffed peppers with spicy mince, er what else??
OMG- couldnt believe the news today, that in a few years there will be a chocolate shortage!! How would I survive!!:rotfl:0 -
Pair of size 8 jeans (£10!!!) and a size 8 vest & layered top have arrived today - and hurrah I can fit in both of them!! (Albeit with a little bit of a belly showing where the top is relatively fitted). Very pleased I can get in the jeans!!0

What's your other dress and why do you have 2? xx
The other dress is the meringue that I pm'd a pic to you. That is the dress that i am going to have all the tulle netting removed and made into a shorter tea length. Then use the tulle to have a bolero made to match.
I only brought the first dress because it fitted so well and it was all over the web as the dress to have if your a fatty! So at just £115 i brought it. My best friend is marrying in June and is having a summer ball theme so ladies have to wear long gowns . . . . my plan is to have the dress dyed so i can wear it there.0 -

I wasn't born a size 8!!! I wouldn't even get a leg in!!
Well done for your maintenance Natalie. IMO keeping it off is harder than losing it. . . . . . . . and well done to Emma for maintaining too.
I break up from work tomorrow so i will be away from chocolates, mince pies and cakes so i am hoping to have a healthy week as i can cook myself some nice lunches to stop me picking like i do at work. I have pledged at home not to buy any naff naughties this year. If its not in we can't eat it!0 -

And if you are feeling a bit naughty, squish a bit of cheese in the middle when you roll them to get melting middle meatballsThis is probably why I need to lose weight...!
I have been good this week though - gym on Monday and Wednesday, swimming on Tuesday. But I just had a macdonalds mince pieAnd got our work xmas party at an all you can eat indian tomorrow where the food is AMAZING... should I restrict myself or should I just let go and enjoy it?
Melanie I really like that original dress! So elegant and understated! At least you know you have a nice back up just in case.
I am so gutted that I still have another week at workThe kids finish at lunchtime thursday but we have a meeting Thurs ave and then a training day on Friday!:mad::mad::mad: GRRR whoever set the holidays this year is obviously jealous of teacher holidays lol!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
hey, today I have been going over my wedding budget to see if I can find anything to do, which I can't until the new year. Oh well
I break up from uni tom at 11am. Don't go back to uni until 23rd Jan for exam and 30th Jan for lectures. Also just this weekend of work left as well
Today I had an emotional conversation with my partner. We were watching a show where the guy had to choose between his wife and full term baby, and me and my partner had THE discussion, and disagreed on what we wanted. I chose the baby he chose me. At least it shows how much he loves me. Sorry just realised this might be a morbid post.0 -
LauraL lol how lucky are you - escaping an OFSTED!
Tracey - cor what a conversation!I think it's nice that he would choose you. Like you said - it shoes how much he loves you.
Morning everyone!
I have lost 1.5lbs this week. Woo hoo :T:j.
This week coming I've got lots of meals out: Today's lunch - out with my team (will have a panini I think). Monday's lunch - work's Christmas do (am having garlic mushrooms for starter and turkey for main - no pudding). Tuesday tea - meal out with my mum & brother (no idea what I'll have then). So I will have to be super good for the rest of the time to try to stay the same!!
So I have 13lbs left to lose (to take me to 8st13.5).0
