    Good morning all.
    Okay Wanchai I promised I'd do my fat percentage.
    As of this morning I am 10st dead on (have lost some weight this week, plus a lot of water retention has gone so I can't say exactly how many lbs I've really lost). At 5ft 2.5, 32 years old female, that gives me a BMI of 25.6 ('just' overweight).
    (http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyweightcalculator.aspx incase anyone else wants to do theirs lol).
    My fat percentage is 33%. For my age this is on the boarderline of 'healthy' and 'overfat' (21-33 is healthy). Remember females NEED fat deposits.
    See http://www.tanita.co.uk/index.php?id=28

    So while I personally want to shed 14.5lbs so I can get back into all my size 8 clothes (I can fit into about half of them, but realistically I'm a size 10 at the moment). In terms of my health only 4lbs loss would shift me from 'overweight' to 'healthy'.

    I don't always take notice of BMI.(sorry can't remember who else said it) I'm classed as underweight as my BMI is only 16, my doctors were never too bothered about it they said if i eat healthy and exercise then i'm prefectly fine. Even with being pregnant i'm still underweight, no midiwifes have question about my low bmi.

    Emailing the hair lady to just make sure she is still available today.

    Hello all! :beer:
    Wanchai- im with the others on the dress- if you think another dress is just right then I think you should do all you can to get that dress- but if you feel the same in the £1200 dress and feel the same about the expensive as you do the monsoon one then you really need to have a good think- anyway £1200 is a lot less than a few of the other dresses youve linked isnt it!!:D

    Nicki- lurk and post all you want!:)

    Wanchai- ive just cut out on all the crap I was eating! Im all for one small treat a day but it gets to 3 or 4 treats and those treats are say 200 cals each it just all adds up!! I also need to avoid very fatty foods and I cant eat too much bread. It seems to have helped as its been ok today (touch wood!)

    Glad you're feeling better hun, just shows what a difference a change of diet makes xxxx
    Lovely cufflinks!

    I'm with everyone else on the dress Wanchai. Wear the one your heart desires. You only get married once and the dress will be remembered forever! Its one day you can be completely selfish, well that's my thinking!!

    Took BM shopping but we got socarried away trying to find her a fur coat to send off to Santa we didn't look at any jewellery or tiara's. Oh well we will have to go back!!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What hardship!

    Wanchai - lol I'm not a very good MSEr here but my advice would be to sod the budget (to a certain degree) and get the dress you love. Like Nicki says - you don't want to wake up on the morning of your wedding, trying your dress on and being gutted that it wasn't a different one. If the £1200 one is the one that is stopping you from buying the rest of the dresses you've been trying on, if it's the one you keep thinking back to, if it's the one you keep comparing every other dress to, then I personally would go with the £1200. Okay so it may mean you pull your belts even tighter to pay for it, or something else has to give way to pay for it. But I personally think the dress will be the thing that makes you feel like your walking on air (well apart from the fact you are marrying your beloved! lol). Even if everything else is all perfect - if your dress isn't I'm convinced that you won't enjoy it as much. (At least that's what I tell myself to justify my £825 dress)

    And Nicki - you're more than welcome to pop in and share the world from the married perspective anytime you want!! :)

    Thanks for all your comments - I have been reading them and reflecting on them all day. You're right, really. I do love the dress in the shop the most - and the one in the blog. I've spoken to the lovely dressmaker, who is willing to make me a dress for £350 plus fabric, so I am meeting her on Tuesday with the pics of the dresses that I love. And then I will decide!! I'm sure you're all glad to hear that :o Oh but I am going to keep my dress shop appointment for tomorrow morning - may as well go along for the nosy! :rotfl:

    I have been soooo good all week foodwise - really pleased with myself. I went to the gym twice too, so this afternoon I treated myself to two squares of 85% chocolate. I felt quite naughty! But overall I have had an almost perfect week. If I can keep this up, I will defo reach my target! I feel much more positive - much better than I did last week. I have enough time to lose weight for the wedding and I am going to make the very most of it.

    This may be the wrong website for this opinion but go with the one you love over getting one because it's reasonable or a bargain.I'm glad I went for the one out of my price range!I don't think I'd have been happy otherwise. Task for you all, can anyone find a nice pearl type tiara anywhere? One not too expensive as I overspent on the dress :rotfl: but not too big, would like just a small, neat one that's not a side tiara if that makes sense!had a look on glitzy secrets but not seen one I like

    Good for you, and thanks also for your comments. Which is your dress btw? :D

    Zimm190 had an AMAZING pearl tiara in her wedding pics, can anyone remember the name of her thread?

    Thanks for that :) You're doing better than me on both weight and body fat % :) I know that I'm not much over the top of the 'ideal' range but for vanity's sake (and comfort) as well as health, I want to get down to near where I was a few years ago - fingers crossed!!!

    Tonight OH and I are going to a tapas restaurant with friends (eek), I am going to be sensible and order the lower fat stuff (jamon etc), stay away from manchego cheese and fried stuff, and stick to one glass of vino! I'll blame my dress appointment in the morning lol.

    Oh, hope the hair lady comes good for you xxxx

    I know that BMI is not a precise science, I am really going more by my body fat and the tape measure than anything else! I'm not going to stress if the scales don't go down much as long as I'm losing inches! :o

    Good morning ladies! How are you all today?

    My jobs for the weekend:
    * Sort out all the washing. (4 loads eeek).
    * Tidy/clean the house (rooms spring cleaned so far).
    * Spring clean/organise my office.
    * Write Christmas Cards
    * Wrap up my Secret Santa gift.

    Last night we went out for a meal, for MrD's dad's birthday. I didn't have a starter or pudding - but the main course I had was rubbish lol. Actually a bit annoyed really cause it's such a crap restaurant to go to - you don't get any veg! Plus they do the best coleslaw so I couldn't not eat that (plus MrD's cause he doesn't like it). Using the nutrition on the american website I ate 1100 calories!! No wonder I'm 1.5lbs heavier this morning than I was yesterday. Plus because we went straight after work there was no time to exercise! So I'm going to have to work super hard the rest of this week to lose that 1.5lbs plus another 1lb (my goal each week). I am proud though that last week I managed 7 whole days of being sensible! :)
  • How a good idea.:j

    My jobs for the weekend:
    * Sort out all the washing. (4 loads eeek). 1 load done - just need to wait for it to finish and then I'll put them on the radiators to dry, then put the next load on.
    * Tidy/clean the house (rooms spring cleaned so far). I've blitz (hoovered, tided, dusted the odd bit like TV: lounge, dining room, kitchen, bedroom. And given the Bathroom/Ensuite a clean (toilet, sink, mirror, shower cubicle floor and shower cubicle doors. All that is left off this job is to sort out the dishwasher - unload and reload, and put the recyclables in the wheelie bin.
    * Spring clean/organise my office.
    * Write Christmas Cards
    * Wrap up my Secret Santa gift.

    Feeling very smug and happy with myself.

    Oh and I've decided on the 20th, when I go to get my hair done, I'm going to pop into a shop in Lincoln and try the Else Chianti shoes on in real life. I'm still not 100% convinced - I think it'll either be my Miss KG Paparazzi shoes in silver, or these. Decisions decisions. And I've been looking at Glitzy Secrets for necklaces but have no idea what I'm really after if the one I have got won't go with my dress. I have decided I want my dress to be here NOW. I'm fed up of waiting lol. Cannot believe it has been 5 months since I last saw it (when I ordered it!)

    :T Had a text off MrD to say my new cardi is here (he is off out with his work colleagues the night before Christmas Eve, so I got him a new jumper - but while I was at it I bought me a cardi too :D).

    I can't decide if I want to do something weddingy or something Christmasy lol.

    And while I was doing my office I had a little peek at all my wedding stuff :) Lol tried my ring on and cause I have the radiators on to try clothes my fingers are all swollen from the heat - lol it didn't slide on very nice at all :rotfl: so I need 17th July to be a cold day (but blue sky for the photos lol). I knew we should have gotten married around Christmas :rotfl:
