This is only my second Xmas with H2B so it still feels new!!
I do love the monsoon dress although i couldn't open the link and i also love the other one. I love the cap sleeves and bandeau detail. Lush. I saw a stunning one in a bridal magazine last night i'll have to see if i can find it on the internet as it is very similiar but shape but not capped sleeves.
Oooh, please do post it if you find it!
This is the Monsoon dress for those who can't open the link:

Must stop lurking on everybodies threads!!
You lurk (and post) here all you want my lovely! :AThey are BOTH gorgeous dresses!!
I LOVE the Monsoon one - but I think the bottom of the peonies one is stunning! so different (and more practical!) to the usual dress
I'm sure you'll look and feel fantastic whichever dress you choose - but go for the one you want the most, you don't want to be regretting NOT doing it on your day

Wanchai - lol I'm not a very good MSEr here but my advice would be to sod the budget (to a certain degree) and get the dress you love. Like Nicki says - you don't want to wake up on the morning of your wedding, trying your dress on and being gutted that it wasn't a different one. If the £1200 one is the one that is stopping you from buying the rest of the dresses you've been trying on, if it's the one you keep thinking back to, if it's the one you keep comparing every other dress to, then I personally would go with the £1200. Okay so it may mean you pull your belts even tighter to pay for it, or something else has to give way to pay for it. But I personally think the dress will be the thing that makes you feel like your walking on air (well apart from the fact you are marrying your beloved! lol). Even if everything else is all perfect - if your dress isn't I'm convinced that you won't enjoy it as much. (At least that's what I tell myself to justify my £825 dress)
And Nicki - you're more than welcome to pop in and share the world from the married perspective anytime you want!!0 -
P.S Today at Pilates our instructor gave us each a small gift of choccies. My plan is to give that to my Yoga instructor. And if she gives us anything I will then give that to my Pilates instructor when I next see her
Less choccies in my gob!
(1 a day till Christmas Eve - then I may break out the box of Hotel Chocolat truffles I've got us).

Wanchai- im with the others on the dress- if you think another dress is just right then I think you should do all you can to get that dress- but if you feel the same in the £1200 dress and feel the same about the expensive as you do the monsoon one then you really need to have a good think- anyway £1200 is a lot less than a few of the other dresses youve linked isnt it!!:D
Nicki- lurk and post all you want!:)
Wanchai- ive just cut out on all the crap I was eating! Im all for one small treat a day but it gets to 3 or 4 treats and those treats are say 200 cals each it just all adds up!! I also need to avoid very fatty foods and I cant eat too much bread. It seems to have helped as its been ok today (touch wood!)0 -
I forgot to tell you all my Granddad's cufflinks came yesterday.
I've taken a photo of them next to my bouquet - because that will be placed on my Grandma's grave after the wedding.
I am really pleased with them - and they even got an 'awww' off MrD!0 -
oh they are fab Natalie. I bet he will be so chuffed with those.0

Lovely cufflinks!
I'm with everyone else on the dress Wanchai. Wear the one your heart desires. You only get married once and the dress will be remembered forever! Its one day you can be completely selfish, well that's my thinking!!
Took BM shopping but we got socarried away trying to find her a fur coat to send off to Santa we didn't look at any jewellery or tiara's. Oh well we will have to go back!!0 -
Melanie- oh no, you'll jus have to go shopping again, thats such a shame!!:D:rotfl:. :rotfl:I think a tiara would look fab with your daughters hair if you get the right style! I have pearl and diamante headbands for my bridesmaids but I will definately get little sister to wear hers but im unsure about older sister- depends what her hair is like in 7 months I think!0

This may be the wrong website for this opinion but go with the one you love over getting one because it's reasonable or a bargain.I'm glad I went for the one out of my price range!I don't think I'd have been happy otherwise. Task for you all, can anyone find a nice pearl type tiara anywhere? One not too expensive as I overspent on the dress :rotfl: but not too big, would like just a small, neat one that's not a side tiara if that makes sense!had a look on glitzy secrets but not seen one I like0
-
pbny- have you tried ebay or debenhams? Do you have any idea of the kind of style you like? if you dont want it too big, it may be worth searching under headbands as well as tiaras.0
