I have the2 smaller sizes for my sweetie table, and Natalie has used them to make some fab tea light holders.
I really hope im not coming down ill- I have soooooo much work to be done by friday! Thats why I hoped coming home and sleeping today would help so Im better for tomorrow and Friday. I know, thats why im not being hard on myself, but I just like not having a proper lunch, would rather have say 150 cal soup as its better for me but hula hoops just seemed tasty!!:p0 -
Dianette - was rubbish
Zyrtex (lol it's not that at all - that's the hayfever stuff but it's something like that) - the roll on your all describing was fab when I used to use it in uni - but I have spots in random places like on the side of the bridge of my nose and I'd struggle to put it on there.
Have had spots pretty much since my late teens on and off - I can go for months with them covering my chin but I don't care. At the moment I'm in a 'kick !!!' mood
Melanie - hurrah for your cheapo bunting!!Got to love a bargain!! And I agree about bunting - for the amount I'd want I'd need far too much fabric that it'd work out at about the same as buying it!
And I've always viewed dieting/losing weight as a journey. I also add the thought that if you take the faster motorway, and get to your destination quicker you are less likely to stay there. If you take the slower more scenic route and it take you longer to get there you will appreciate the achievement more and try that little bit more at staying at that destination, knowing how hard a journey you've taken.
Lovecake (sorry can't remember your name) when I've finished writing this post I'll go and find a post I've written about putting pictures in your posts.
Wanchai - 0.6lbs is NOT a blip!! It is a very good loss. Never ever ever belittle a loss. Every little bit helps. It is far better to lose a little than stay the same or even worse gain! (BUT I will stress even if you gain it doesn't mean that it's the end of the world - it just means for that week you've stopped at the country pub to use Melanie's analogy.
Emma awww bless you - hope you are feeling better soon x
The lids to my kiln type jars (is that what they are called?) were really easy to take off, and I've saved all the bits so when I've finished with them I can give them a good clean, put the lids back on, and sell them on ebay for more than I paid for them :rotfl: well that is the plan anyway
For the benefit of those who haven't seen them - these are my jars. They are big enough to put 3 tea lights on their bottoms.0 -
For LoveCakes:
This is how I do it - and it'll work with any photo anywhere on the internet whether it's on a photo storage site or a shop website.
Right click the photo and choose 'open image in new window'
Copy the web address/link from that new window (will usually end in .jpeg)
Then come in here and write [ img ] (without spaces) paste your web address/link and write [ /img ] (without spaces).
For example if I write:
[ img ]http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/masthead2010/MSEtitle.jpg[ /img ]
(without spaces) then the following is embedded into my post:
You can use the little image tag button (the one that looks like mountains on a yellow background with a square sun) but I find the above just as quick and possibly easier.
*edit*
Please note a) the photo you want to embed must be on the internet somewhere already either in a photo storage site such as photobucket/flickr even on facebook. and b) you can't do this for photos on flash sites.
You have to open the photo so only that photo is in the page - no other stuff - it should have '.jpeg' at the end (or some other photo file extension) so mse knows you're embedded a photo.0 -
Thanks for the jar pictures! I love Ikea so any excuse for a shopping trip. I hadn't considered selling the stuff on again afterwards I assumed people would take them as favours.
Well done on the weight loss Wanchai. A loss is a loss!! All in the right direction. I had been so good all day and then had fish from the chippy! In my defence I left the batter and only ate a few of H2B chips! Another country road for me. X0 -
Thanks ladies!
FINALLY - here are my rings :j

I think I will sell my sweetie jars on but not sure about centrepieces! mil2b said people can help themselves, which is fair enough but I may keep the mirror plates they are on and will sell them on.
Melanie- I love ikea, havent been for a while as we cant go without buying lots- we always seem to see things we arent planning on getting but manage to instintly find a use/ place for all these things!
Oh and Wanchai- 0.6lb is fab, well done, if you lost that every week it would add up to loads by next July.0 -

Lovely ring Lovecake.
We already have a couple of glass jars but I cant think of anything else we can use them for.
I think she is happy for people to take one if they want one (she is paying for them, and I dont care as long as I get one for my dressing room:D!!)
Well after my 2 days of the slightly scenic route im back to trying the motorway! Dinner at mil2bs tonight though so im not sure what that will be!0
