FutureCooper - yikes @ £350 for shoes! You could get a really comfy designer pair for that price, I would imagine! Maybe wait till the new ranges are out?
PinkPrincess - yay for friend approval of your accessories!!!!
Re the Cambridge Diet - I don't think that it's a meal replacement regime like Slimfast, just low calorie portion controlled meals with a counsellor to support you. I know that it's a quick fix but I desperately need a kick start and a morale boost!I just feel fat and unattractive.
Having said that, I can't wait to do more dress shopping this week...7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Well maybe you could do it as a starter if you feel it will help motivate you but maybe then you will just have to ensure you eat sensibly after.
Im not doing any specific diet but Im just cutting out the rubbish I eat- I have a desk job and am a grazer anyway so tend to pick all day on naughty food, I feel much better already after just cutting out rubbish and bread for a week. I also go to the gym, Ive only been twice this week but will be aiming to go 3 - 4 times a week.0 -
How high a heel are you after?
x
I'm looking for about a 3inch heel but would prefer a slightly chunkier heel rather than stiletto thin, but not Thora Hird heel. Haha!
I love irregular choice shoes but it's not the right colour purple and they are edged in gold and I need silver. I'm still looking . . . .
As for diet I've just cooked a huge roast chicken dinner. It was yummy. Back on it tomorrow and must get my serious head on it. I CAN do it when I get going. Well done to you all so far your doing great. I'm not keen on meal replacement as i think you need to retrain your habits from the junk that got us fat in the first place. Well my fat anyway. I'm sure you ladies are only looking at a few pounds!!0 -

How do you get the motivation though? I can see the big picture (wedding dress lol) but saying no to individual chocolate bars is so hard!!!! It all adds up though - 100 calories extra a day can put on 10lbs in a year apparently!! I need a food demotivator!!!!!!!!!
FutureCooper - thanks for the wise words. I have 1.5 stone to lose, 21lbs!!!! :eek:7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Miraculously I lost 0.5lbs this week - VERY happy.
Wanchai - think about it the opposite way then. 100 calories less a day and you would lose 10lbs in a year. I personally think if you do a meal replacement (whether that is shakes or an extremely low calorie diet) you have to have even more motivation than you do when you are eating regular food just less of it.
5 more Monday's till Christmas Hols - hurrah!0 -
Well done Natalie on the 0.5lb loss. All moving in the right direction!
Emma i hope your feeling more human today, welcome to my world of lightweights!!
So its a fresh week. Just 256 days to the big day and only 39 days to the even bigger day so i really must get a handle on myself and stop messing about food wise. From today i pledge to be accountable for everything that passes my lips. I am going to write everything down and follow the Slimming World again. Setting myself a small goal of just 0.5lb a week, every week, bearing in mind that for every pound you lose you have 'saved' 1500kcal less than what your body has 'spent' , 0.5lb is only 750kcal. That should see 18lb gone by my wedding day. Anything i do better than that is a bonus.0 -
It's EIGHT MONTHS till my (ok our :rotfl:) wedding day! And I have no dress yet! Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will relax once everything is booked and I can take my time over the other stuff.
Things I have sorted:
Church
Reception venue
Band
Photographer
Florist
Still need to sort urgently:
Dress
Videographer
Hairdresser
PinkPrincess - come on, let's have some photos!!!Miraculously I lost 0.5lbs this week - VERY happy.

That's a good way of thinking about it. I am going to give it some consideration. Maybe I need to decide to be slightly less MSE (money is the only thing I'm disciplined with) and up my food shopping budget to buy more healthy stuff? It is definitely more expensive to eat healthy proteins for example, but I could offset that with lots of HM soups, roasted veg, stir fries etc.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad newsbut 1lb = 3,500 calories!
I'll join you in writing down everything that I eat if that's ok!
So far today: 3 Twix fingers
Lunch will be an orange, a cup-a-soup and 2 slices of toast
I know that this is a very bad start to the week, but I was visiting my mum at the weekend and came back late last night when all the shops were shut. I will do better from here on in!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Well done on the 0.5lb Natalie.
Im very pleased with myself this week, I lost 1.5lb. I would be so happy to lose 0.5 lb every week- it would add up by the time the wedding comes round.
Wanchai- I cant stop myself eating things like chocolate or the odd bag of crisps but I only have small bars of chocalate or bags of crisps that are under 100 cals in the house and allow myself one as a treat if I have been good that day- If I tried to stop eating it completely I would then want it so much I would then go and eat loads and loads of it!
No pics today- Im out till late tonight. Ill probably try and do some at the weekend or next week as Ill have more time (and its going to take a while for me to work out how to do it!!:D0 -
Well, have just sent the certificates for marriage off to the Registrar on the Isle of Wight. Stitched the first card yesterday, looks pretty good, just need to finalise colour of aperture cards we will be using. Only another 15 to go (that's my xmas hols sorted.....)
Would love to carry on the island theme on the place cards, but got a funny feeling I will have to have larger than average cards to get the outline in. Will play and see what I can come up with.0 -

What a plonker i am . . . of course its 3,500kcal. I have no idea why i put 1500. Monday morning thing . . . . . still its do-able, it has to be. I find if i don't plan ahead and have the food in i can't do it. I had 42g All Bran with skimmed milk for breakfast and just had HM veg and lentil soup with 2 x nimble bread. It will be fruit about 4pm to keep going til tea. Pasta with roasted veg i think. Family can have garlic bread and cheese on top but i won't.0
