  • thats like what i had heard but vauxhall said it was to increase performance so that there wasnt excess fuel in the cylinder when you next accelerate after changing gear. it probably works both ways the nurbergring astra doesnt do it thats why it backfires on gear change but then thats cool

    Surely that must increase my fuel consumption. I can't imagine the engine is reving on fresh air, and what goes out the exhaust isn't helping the atmosphere by much. I was told that this is a new type of engine that is designed to do this, but I myself believe that there is a problem with it.
