I have a list of everything that we need for our stay and every time we come back I add something else to the list that I forgot. Over the years it has been salt and pepper, Fry Light, tin opener, baking tray, kitchen roll, kitchen scissors, egg poaching pan, tongs for turning things under the grill, anti bacterial surface wipes, hand soap, shower mat, etc. Last time we stayed in a caravan I added Windolene to the list because the hand prints on the windows drove me mad!!!
We hae been going to Haven sites for years and I very rarely need to buy anything from the shop on site.0 -

Yes definitly put email address on. Didn't think about junk folder till about 4 days ago, so have been checking that every day since then, I could have deleted it without realising before this though!:o
Will just wait for paper confirmation now. I'm dreading it tbh!
Thanks for the help.0 -
And if you are going during colder weather.. Take a small plug in heater ( dont tell Haven !!), or take an electric blanket. We never leave the heater on during the night, or when out but it gets really cold in the morning when you get up, so we tend to leave the gas fire on. its ok, you pay for it !
By the way, if anyone's going to the site at Pwlheli, we went last year, and bought no passes, but theres an on site pub/restaurant over the bridge ( as though you're walking towards the headland ), and you dont have to have a pass there.. You can get a meal, or a drink only. And, its very comfortable clean and plush.
Its about midway between Pwlleli and Porthmadog.. ( stick with Porthmadog. Pwllheli is just like any old town )0 -
When we went to Presthaven Sands in Wales I found a big heater under the bed!
Good job as it was freezing in the night (early July)0 -

I take a couple of those little fan heaters too so I don't need to pay for an upgrade to a caravan with heating. Just be careful not to trip out the electric though if you put the kettle on at the same time!
Something else I take is my drying rack for the towels. They do give you a little one in the Haven caravans but it isn't much good for getting 4 swimming towels and 4 bath towels dry. Mine lies nice and flat in the bottom of the boot so doesn't take up much room.0 -
yes, heaters for the bedroom/s are a good idea
we take them too
as sometimes the accom only has a fire in the living area which although good and heats that up nicely , the bedrooms can be freeeeezing!
i think only twice we have had heating in the bedrooms so more often than not we have needed the heaters!0 -
Hi all,
Just to say anyone still waiting for an email etc, don't lose hope just yet. I was convinced we had missed out as I could only put one date in and it was for school holidays.
I got the email this morning:j Do make sure you check your spam/junk folders. I added the email address mentioned on this thread to my contacts list so I couldn't miss it.
I am so happy, I haven't been on holiday for years and even though the site we have got doesn't have good reviews I don't care! I'm so excited:D
Goodluck to everyone still waiting.Good Enough Club member number 20 -
