When we booked our trip, we added the ferry on during the booking to get the discounted rate. Not sure how you do it seperately - with postal bookings I think they send you a discount code?

I did try but they would only offer me the portsmouth route, no other option. Was too worried about the 10m time limit on the booking website or to loose my booking altogether as it took 6 goes to get what I wanted. Have just booked P&O for £78 for 5 of us at the times we wanted. Would love to have got cheaper but still got a cheap deal altogether!

So peak crossing really. But I did book back in Sept!!!
This isn't a sun holiday btw It a full priced one I booked, tho saying that I only paid £164 for the holiday so about the same as sun holiday!!! I then booked the ferry seperatly.

You got yourself a good deal! I've booked now with P&O as I reckon it will only get more expensive!!
  • really pleased i have got my 1st choice newquay parkdean and really suprised that 4th of july came up as an available date - taking my mum for a break and my dog so it will be a nice summer break with hopefully good weather!! has anyone been to this park?

thank you for the codes as i had priority form but have been collecting tokens didnt realise i could do it online .
  • We're going to Port De Plaisance in Benodet. We did a Yelloh in the Languedoc (can't remember the name) in 2008 and that was one of the best sites we've been too, although that was through Eurocamp again. What are the Yelloh vans / chalets like? Had a quick look at the photos on the website, but its hard to figure out what they are like in reality!

The Eurocamp vans we've had over the years were all pretty good - certainly better than most UK vans (at the basic level you get with Sun hols).

Haven't been to that particular site but i know the Languedoc is beautiful, the Yelloh sites we went to were keycamp caravans also. Enjoya111

I think reading my confirmation we will get an email on the 24th Feb from the operator, I booked the 3 nights and 7 nights so am hoping to be able to stay in the same caravan;).

Went to Tara Craig last September. Paid extra for 'deluxe' caravan. Dreadful. The first van reeked of tobacco, had tattered curtains, a torn sofa, a severely frayed stool, and torn carpet. Bedding prepaid too but none in van. Reception eventually sent a manager who agreed this was not deluxe and added that the bedrooms smelled too musty. Sent us to reception again but they'd gone home. Security eventually put us in 'crash' accommodation. Better but still reeked of tobacco. By the time this was sorted all the restaurants had closed and we had no meal that night. Whole of next morning spent getting replacement accommodation. First option, the keys given did not open the van. Third option, better but no toaster, and several light bulbs not working. Hence a great chunk of our four nights was taken up - and we'd also paid for flights up and a hire car. Wrote to Haven afterwards. Took five weeks to receive a letter overlooking all the main problems and stating that the initial van was indeed a deluxe one. There was not a word of apology. If that was deluxe, don't go near a standard. Our advice - avoid Craig Tara at all costs. Haven do not care about you at all.
  • Does anyone have a priority booking code they don't need to use
    Thanks

    Thanks

You have to add your name to the bottom of this list

One thing I haven't seen in Freecycle, is people asking for the reservation code. I'm sure there must be some people who don't know about Martin's site (:eek::eek:) and that you can offer them to others if you don't want to use them
and who get the priority form and just throw them away

Maybe ask your local freegle or freecycle?
  • hi does anyone have a phone number to call the sun up to check a booking has been made?

    thanks
