Oh I'll be here for the guessing game!! If I get it I promise to post it straight on. Maybe when we all log on we should say which letters we're attempting.
Blackpool - I went in November to Marton Mere to see the lights. My van was fine but got lucky and had heating in bedrooms too and thank goodness cos it was freezing!!!! I didn't get entertainment passes and unfortunately everything including the play park meant you had to get past the man on the door!!! We used it as a base to be honest but if there's a lot of you (we were 8) it works out far cheaper to taxi into town. They have a special deal with a local company at a flat rate and worked out way cheaper than paying for 8 of us on a bus.

Theres only 4 of us and will have the car with us so will play it by ear as to how we travel into Blackpool!
I'm the nasty sort of mother that if its nice I make them walk!

I just looked up the price of the Haven site direct for Oct half term, and prices are "from" £320!
So even if the add-ons are pricey with the Sun, Im still looking at about £200 cheaper than brochure price

The site looks nice as well

The booking form and details of sites and dates are in a pullout in today's edition of the Sun

The booking form was in the buzz magazine in saturday's paper
  • Just seen the note above ^^ that says this forum will be down on Saturday, that's going to cause a problem when people want to ask questions about their bookings

There arent any Sun holidays in August. The sites just use the Sun to fill up the empty caravans at quieter times of the year.

Wrong, there will be another promotion april/may time, which will include daes for august, mind you these are £15 holidays, and if it is anything like last year, they opened up the sun holiday site as a free for all in june, did not need tokens or anything, got an email from the sun saying you can book an summer holiday for £15pp, which i am glad happened as i could not actually get one through the sun properly
Take every day as it comes!!

I stand corrected - sorry:( I kind of forgot about the later August holidays - though I understand they're hard to get as they sell out so quickly. I was only thinking about this promotion tbh.

And you're right, I didnt collect the tokens for the later promotions last year but got an invite for the £15 holidays, so got tempted and booked one.

These holidays will be around March time to collect the tokens and are normally £15 per person.

    Correct.

In fact I booked it whilst in on a £9.50 break in March last year.

Some European hols will be for 7 days from July 11th to 15th this time, I'd wager.
