Has anyone paid the extra to upgrade, £13.50pp for luxury or £17.50pp for luxury plus. I just wondered if it was worth the extra money and if the accomodation seemed significantly better than the £9.50pp.

    Thanks

I've upgraded to a bigger caravan in the past for more room - Haven usually has this option.

Havent tried luxury or luxury plus personally as i take my assistance dog with me but my understanding is....

It depends when you're going because if its likely to be cold, then upgrading means theres more chance of getting a caravan with heating.

Also, on some sites if you upgrade you can book in earlier when you arrive.

  • Hi I've been on Sun holidays quite a few times. I usually upgrade direct with the park a week or two before going as they have a clearer picture of what is available and can sometimes offer you it for cheaper. However I left it too late last year and had a really horrible caravan. It is worth upgrading if you don't intend to eat out a lot and the weather isn't good cos the upgrades usually give you a wider caravan (which mean more space obviously!) and central heating in all rooms rather than just a fire in the living room. We were squashed and frozen last year lol. Hope that helps!
This site rocks and has saved me loads -
thanks to all those that post on the forums and have saved me money

    Hello All,

The Sun 2011 Holiday promotion starts today ;)

This is an up to date list of the booking codes required when the online booking system opens. 8 are needed to book online as well as a Priority Booking Reference number (to be found on the top left of the rebooking form sent by The Sun. These are sent out at random and not everyone will have received one. Without a priority booking reference number you will need to complete the postal form in the paper and collect the daily tokens from the paper):
    ROAD
ROCK (Bonus - received by some in their letters and not by others. Unclear whether all can use this)
    ARCH
    HERB
    CENT

does anyone have todays code please? xx ;)

I have noticed that there is priority codes for sale in Ebay, if I bought one of these codes does anyone know including all the additional costs how much I would pay for a break in August at Primrose Valley?

I would be interested in either a basic or upgraded caravan, I have never been on one of these breaks before and don't have a clue about costs on top of the £9.50

I would really appreciate the help if someone has the time to check for me thanks, I have looked on The Sun site and can't find what I need

There arent any Sun holidays in August. The sites just use the Sun to fill up the empty caravans at quieter times of the year.

As for extra costs - these vary from site to site but for Primrose valley the service charge is £6.95 per night, entertainment pass per person (under 5's free) cost £8.50. linen charge is extra too if you need that adding.
