Those that took the free line installation offer were not eligible to have the free E&W calls too.

i didnt say i had free E&W calls i said my bill is £16 - perhaps this is why my bill is more?

im a bit confused is the primus deal which is about the same price to an o2 customer better? i read something about o2 changing their terms to new customers bus since we are on the lowest deal i didnt think we had unlimited downloads in the first place?

i need to change somewhere as bt are costing me a fortune so would i be better phoning o2 retentions and seeing what i can get on a new package

or phoning o2 and trying to make sure they dont put me onto the new package as someone above said they were allowed to (sorry cant remember the name)

or signing up to primus (has anyone experience of them?)

i am also now concerned that i might be one of these renewed 12 month contracts bt apparently do if your on evening and weekend calls which people are talking about on the home phone forum - does anyone know how i can find out? i thought it was 18 month max then i could cancel anytime.

    thanks

Personally I'd drop the E+W calls package at the end of the contract and do the line rental saver for £120 per year. You'll still get free weekend calls and can use 18185 for evening calls. If you make a lot of calls to landlines (more than 5 per weekday every weekday) then go onto the anytime package for an additional £5 per month totalling £15 per month for anytime free calls.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

thanks so what would you do about the broadband? i dont want to pay £13 a month for this or would u suggest paying £40 a year to count as an o2 customer?

It is - that's what I meant. If you took the free installation offer you could not have the free E&W calls offer.

I don't know anything about Primus BB.

If you had O2 BB before September you are on one of the old packages and have unlimited BB. What's the name of your package - if it's Standard that's the old unlimited one.

You won't be if you took up the free installation offer. It's an 18 month contract. Are you still under contract to BT or are you past the 18 months?

Phone O2 BB and haggle with them - they will be easier than O2 mobile.

If you are past your 18 months with BT, pay the Linesaver and ask to be put onto the 12 months rolling contract and save that £2.99 for E&W calls.

i believe this is the 19th or month we moved in end of june 2009 but i will have to check the exact date to check it doesnt end next month

we are on what is now called the basics where the limit is now 20gb a month. its good to know thats unlimited i take it the difference was the speed of the internet when we signed up then. we originally paid £7.50 a month though i think its now £8.17 or something

so it may be worth a phone call to broadband and say we want to cancel see what we can get and make sure we arent changed to their new broadband.

would i be correct in saying that most providers now have a limit of about 10/20 gb a month?

You need to be sure on this. The Basics package is the one which is limited and liable to traffic management.

Never mind what it is now called. When did you join O2 BB? If you joined prior to September 09 on the Standard package that is what you are still on. Look at your O2 BB account online - what package does it state?

If you think you are able to cancel you must surely be over 12 months and therefore on the O2 Standard package.

    It all depends on package.

Yes it does mean that. You are on unlimited dowloads and no traffic shaping.

I wouldn't give up this package if i were you.
