    Definitely baking parchment.:D
Not very OS but I use it for everything!

I invested in one of those reusable cooking liners and it's fab, NOTHING sticks to it. I've used it hundreds of times and it's still fine, just needs a wipe with a damp cloth after use. Apparently you can put them in the dishwasher but I never have.

Mine cost £1.99 in Dunelm Mill, but you can get them anywhere and I would recommend it to anyone.
Oh dear, here we go again.

Ooh yes I'd forgotten about those. I have some but they are a bit big and awkward. I have put them through the DW and they've come out OK.
With baking parchment you can cut and wrap the flapjack using the same bit as you baked it in.

I've cut my liner to fit exactly on my baking tray - makes life a lot easier. Before trimming it I found I was putting things on the overhanging bit and they fell off when I picked it up!

I'm with jennyjelly. I have a teflon sheet/cooking liner that I got from Morrisons. I can't remember if it was 99p or £1.99 but it's brilliant. I usually put it onto one of my old 'sticky' trays for support, it's great for biscuits, swiss rolls, lining square cake tins etc.

We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

I reckon you may be cooking it too long if it needs chiselling. Mine is quite liquidy when I take it out because it then sets to a certain extent when it cools. Chewy or crunchy flapjacks though - the age old dilemma :D

I've bought three of them from Poundland. Obviously they cost £1 each :) and they are fantastic. I cut one to fit my round cake tin, another one to fit a square tin and the last one for a rectangular dish.
