I saw your facebook - well done :D I tried those e cigarettes last month - didn't actually quit but the other half did - went to e-ciggies for 1 month then quit completely :D

  • I'm struggling NC but trying to keep busy! Am going to go for a little walk in a bit to just get out the office! E-cig ain't working right now! Nothing would give me greater pleasure than opening a packet and having them all, however, tried one last night after a few days of nothing and really didn't enjoy the taste! All it did was give me a headrush and make me feel ill! There is no going back now!

OH finds that he needs to get away from his desk a little more - just take 5 and have a little walk around the block :) Worse for him since i'm still smoking in the house :-S

  • i think I'll be the same. OH is still smoking and indoors as well - he's been very supportive though so i think I'll be alright! I will be taking a walk very shortly!

So very glad to have the courage and will power to do this!

    Well done!!!

My OH gave up last May, having smoked for 19 years, and did it with an inhalator. He got it through the NHS stop smoking service on prescription (Mum works for them, which is how I knew about it) which meant that instead of £6 odd for 12 cartridges it was £7 something (prescription charge) for something like 96!

He has tried to give up many times before, but managed it this time with only a few weeks of stress, where I mainly went to bed early to avoid him! Haha!

Good luck, you're doing well, keep it up! xXx

I got really angry last week about my BM dresses as someone i hate had them for her wedding soooo, this weekend i bought some material to change the dress... They will very soon have a sash with flowers on and a pretty brooch :D

Also, got a big box from a warehouse to make a post box :D

And, made a decision on suits, just need to visit and book :D

And, changed my mind several times about a tiara and now i'm not sure if i want one :D

Also, going to put a complaint into Debenhams as the guys that sort the suit hire spoke to us absolutely atrociously...

Wow Jenna... that's lots of :D's!!!

Sounds like it's going really well.

I am going to sort out my wedding insurance next, because you have to have had insurance before you book things for them to cover it. Just came on to look out the thread about wedding insurance.

I'm hesitating about my mobile bar at the moment. I met them at a wedding fayre, and they seemed really nice, the bar itself was grogeous, they sell my FAVOURITE ever cider (from a local-ish brewery) and real ale from the same brewery that Dad and H2B both love, and they have a 50% off deal on, as long as I book within the next 6 months, because I saw them at the wedding fayre.

So... why am I hesitating? Well, they only started in November 2010 and haven't yet done any functions, but have 5 booked this year. That worries me, but I really had a good feeling about them.... and I can get my reception drinks, wine and toast drinks provided and served, and all glass hire and bar hire, for about £1,000 less than I thought. Only about £100 more than if I DIYed it, with less hassle. Argh!!! I just don't know whether to take a risk!!!

Book it... Get your insurance set up and book it. Worse come to worse your insurance will have to pay for someone else :D

  • Hello there fellow April 2012 people!

I'm new to posting on these boards, but have loved some of the tips on the MSE wedding threads so much that I'm joining in! Everyone seems so nice too :)

Me and my lovely man are getting married on Thursday 5th April 2012 in Sussex. Please can I be added to the list?

We've been together nearly 7 years and engaged for about 2 and a half years - a couple of friends recently prodded us a bit and asked: "So, when's the wedding?!" and it all clicked into place that it's the perfect time for us to plan now!

Getting very excited about it all - we've booked the registry office, given our notices to marry, just put down our deposit for our reception and evening venue (a hotel with an amazing package!) and ordered our save the date cards through VistaPrint!

Looking forward to sharing in much wedding-excitement-related chatter!

  • Welcome Lemon Zest!

Isn't it all sooooo exciting? My planning has kinda come to a halt (our wedding 01 April 2012) because I've a) run out of money and b) am focussing on giving up smoking right now (16 days today!)....

What's your budget? Have you chosen a colour theme? Fab about the reception venue!

Stick around on these boards... you'll pick up thousands of tips (and save thousands) with the help of the MSE'rs!
