Welcome Smiler and LemonZest, we are getting a little bunch in the April section.
Smiler - you can find some amazing sales out there and you can find your perfect dress for minimal cost, it just takes a little bit of hunting(Some go as little as £99). Also, how proud are you going to feel when all your hard work comes together and you can actually say - WE DONE THIS!
Sorry to hear about your job Emz, you'll find somethingMine came to an end just before i went on holiday, spoke to all the agencies yesterday and there's nothing up here to suit me at mo
I'll find something though i always do... Plus means i can get my bloody wisdom teeth out on NHS so as not to hit into the wedding fund
Holiday was fab - i went shopping for a tiara while i was there and found they were tacky and massively expensive - think gypsy wedding...
Anyhoo, got full on wedding planning at the weekend and:
Ordered a bespoke ring for us both - mine will fit into my shaped engagement ring
Found and ordered 7 metres of material to change the BM dresses and i'm really happy with the final product
Found my tiara reduced to £32 in a local wedding shop - and miraculously my mam agreed it was nice :O
Bought all my jewellery from a sale at Bjorn (if you have one near you - go visit - fully kitted up for £18)
Ordered my shoes in the BHS sale (fingers crossed they fit)
Made appointment to see registrar
Started my diet BOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That's pretty much itlol

Hi all!!!
I'm new and also an April 2012 bride! Just finalised Saturday 28th April with our venue!!
So nice to come across loads of other brides getting married around the same time of year!!
I'm curious to hear floral ideas! I want to stick with seasonal flowers, anyone got any ideas what will look fab?! We're having navy and white with bright yellows thrown in (was hoping for some daffs but might be a little late!)
We have the venue booked (The Stone Barn in Aldsworth, Gloucestershire) and registrar. Need to get my !!! in gear I think and sort everything else out!!

Welcome Adeline!
I'm having just white and very pale pink roses in my handtied bouquet but your colours sound amazing! I'd personally have the yellow as my main colour in my bouquet and then work in the blue with the ribbon!
Look forward to chatting with ya!0 -
Can I ask what you have all done so far? Have you had to put deposits down on anything yet? I have the church booked. The vicar will come round next January (3 months before), so I'm assuming he won't want any money till at least then. We are going to the Rugby Club on Monday so I will speak to them about deposits etc. We are working and saving hard at the moment. I will order dresses in about November. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I need to be doing? Venue is sorting food and DJ. I need to price cars and flowers. A friend of mine is doing photos.0
