I love the shells. If you wanted to save some cash you could contact a local fish market and see if you can buy the shells from them and paint them :-)
I'm getting some eggs for the kids. I like the chocolate orange eggs you get with a little spoon beside them - they should be around for easter in supermarkets.
What's your thoughts on an all kids table? I'm not a parent so have no idea if this is genuinely a good idea...
396 days to go... lol - It still seems ages and ages away :-D:DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D0 -
Morning girlies!
I was thinking about having an all kids table as we will have about 12 kids under the age of 11 attending our wedding! I think it's a great idea actually! You could put colouring books, colouring pencils, board games and fun things to do on the kids table to keep them occupied!
To think, 2 weeks ago when I joined this thread I was the last of us girls to be married - now I'll be the first! Eeeeeekkkkk - just 390 days to go!
Do you all have FB? I'd love to add you so we can talk there too! PM me if you want an add! Oh and are any of you using wedding websites? I have one if you want a sneaky peak of the real me!0 -
I'll PM you my details hun. I have a wedding website too (it seems when i have a little too much vodka i do random wedding planning)... I'll PM you link - yours seems to be broken.
In my mothers side i am the last girl (over age 21) to get married. and... the last girl to have kids - they all think i'm an old fart at 23! ha ha.
I can imagine a lot of kids at ours... Not including OH - My mother is one of six, each of which has at least 2 kids each of which has two kids... A fun packed day ha ha.:DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D0 -
Yesterday i bought a cheapy Easter egg hunt game which will either keep the kids busy in the lull between ceremony and breakfast or during speeches or after dinner. :-):DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D0

Whoop Whoop! I just won 3 bridal bouquets on ebay for £24!! They are lovey! What's even better is I used my cash back from purchases on TopCashBack to pay for them! So essentially I got them for FREE! Whooooohoooo!
How is everyone??0 -
Wow... I've missed loads!!!
THESE are the candles, but it's just the hassle of saving the egg shells for months, and storing them, and then having to melt enough wax to make 80 of them!!! Argh!!!
I'm not a parent either, but I am a teacher, so I would say, that at a wedding, I would be expecting parents and their children to sit together. Unless you have a couple of sensible older ones, say 10-11 or so, to keep things sensible. I am not having many children, but I will be providing them with something to do on the table (not sure what yet!)
I like the easter egg hunt idea though... I might have to look into that some more!!!
I have a wedding website too, but it's not live yet. I'll post the link when it is!
I am on facebook, but because of school have it all set up as private so I'm not easy to find!!! PM me details and I'll add you though!
As for the bouquets... BARGAIN!!! Link???

I LOVE your candle idea! Wow! That is an amazing idea! Clever lady Emz! I squash egg shells by accident when I try open them! LOL I couldn't save them for you - you'd just get a mound of mooshed shell!
oh link to my bouquets.... My total decoration/bouquets budget is only £70 so the cash back has really helped! Whew!
Am PM'ing you now!0 -
OMG OMG OMG - I've just paid the deposit on the venue and my wedding account is now empty! I was getting so used to having that account buldging!
But oooooohhhhh it feels good to it confirmed!
Now I'm excited! :rotfl:
Decided I am going to go to the jeweller today (well then it means I can meet up with my lovely mom and have a coffee too!) and ask him for a quote to make my wedding ring! He better give me a lovely price or I'll cry! He's a family friend so hopefully he'll give me a discount!0 -
I have had a fab day today...
1: We went and looked at the Village Hall together today, and OH loved it too! Yay! It's soooo perfect! The only downside was the guy who was meant to show us around wasn't there, and didn't turn up! Thankfully there was someone else there emptying the hall from a jumble sale yesterday.
2: I went in to BHS and the bridesmaid dresses that had sold out were back in stock!!! YAY!!! Then when I got to the till, the girl scanned them in and 2 dresses marked as £45 came out at £96. So I mentioned it and she made it £90, then said "If you take out a BHS mastercard today, and put these back until Thursday or Friday, you can get 20% off, so they'd be £36 each!!! I jumped at that chance... also because the card won't have turned up by Thursday, so as long as I take the details with me I can pay cash so I won't ever need to use the card unless it's a bargain day! Hooray!!!
Very happy girl today.)
