These dresses came last night and i'm so impressed with them. They are a lot longer than on the pic which is what i hope for and fab quality. :-)
Now to bargain down the suit cost :rotfl::DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D0 -
They are lovely. I tried on the shorter version to wear to my friends wedding, but in the end decided that it was too "bridesmaid-y"
I can't believe it's only 13 months to go! Argh! The last 3 have gone WAY too fast!!!First date 10.2.2002

I know, and i have like zero things to do until after summer
Gutted...
How's your planning coming on?:DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D0 -
we are seeing the perfect venue this weekend! can't wait! far too excited!0

My planning...
The church is booked and vicar organised (having my retired vicar Godfather to do ceremony)
The dress I loved/Mum hated is coming in my size for me to try on at the beginning of May.
We have a meeting at my preferred venue (village hall) that OH has never seen, a week on Sunday.
I have had a quote for catering, but not booked yet.
I may buy my BM dresses this month... I know it's early, but I have found some me and the BM's love for £48 each in BHS, perfect colour etc. Just to decide if I should take the plunge or not.
Favours, Grandad is turning 80 wooden egg cups, so I will be on the lookout for chocolate eggs cheaper after Easter!
Little BM dress bought in the charity shop.
So, not much done really, but starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere!!!

Emz... Just take the plunge and get the BM dresses! I would! I'm only having my little sister as my maid of honour and am leaving her to decide what dress she wants to get but I've given her an idea of what I'd like and we'll go shopping together! She's got amazing taste so trust her choice!
The venue I prefer is just gorgeous! I am so excited I've made myself feel sick! Haha!
Is it normal to feel this excited?0 -
I feel that excited quite often too!!! Hehe!!! When are you going to see it? Is it a hotel/house/hall/castle etc? Details!!!
I am going to buy the dresses, because I can always sell them on again if necessary.
I have just had some good news from my Dad, who is also my landlord. I owed him £1,400 for rent and money borrowed whilst I didn't have a job last summer, and have been paying it off every month. Somehow, I have managed to pay him £200 more than needed, so I am £200 better off than I realised!!! Love it!!!First date 10.2.2002

Venue is Friern Manor - I just hope that we have enough for the deposit! Most people I've asked have said the deposit is the venue hire for the day and others have said it's 20% of the cost of the wedding! I hope it's the 20% because that all I've managed to save in the 3 weeks since we set our date and saw the vicar!
We are seeing the wedding coordinator tomorrow at 1.15! Sickly excited! :rotfl:
Good for you on deciding to get the dresses! Just go for it if you have the money!
Oh my £200 extra cash - I don't know what I'd do with that money or where it would go in the budget - perhaps on the decoration?
Saw my nail technician today at the salon where I get my bio nails done and mentioned I'd like her to do my make-up for our wedding (privately) and she turned me downShe said that she'd loved to but it would be in breach of her contract! I've been going to her for 3 years and she knows my skin like her own! LIttle upset really!

Ladies, it's official! The date has been set! 01 April 2012!
Seriously it is no joke!
The venue was free on the 22nd but unfortunatly my sil hasn't let us know when her husbands family wedding in Scotland is so we just moved the date to the beginning of April to avoid any clashes! :T
Now to figure out how to incorporate a little bit of royal blue in the Ivory, Pink and Grey colour scheme! The whole venue has blue uplighters and chairs!0 -
Hooray!!!
I was thinking of you today as I was sat in the hairdressers, hoping you had been able to book.
April Fools Day... easy for hubby to be to remember!!! Haha!
Royal blue and grey look lovely together. Not sure on the pink with it, but it maybe depends on what kind of pink you're having?
It's all soooooo exciting!!!First date 10.2.2002
