Hen night this weekend and only a little bit excited so will see what happens :D

Eeeeeeeeek at it being the last month!

lollipop80 have you looked into chauffeured cars? I got my bridesmaid for £72 which is a lot cheaper than mine! :D

    How exciting Jenna.

I've read your post in the bridezilla thread and it sounds like your BM is being rubbish. What a shame. Hopefully you will have a great time in the end :) Mine is next weekend and I can't wait!! I have no idea what is happening other than there is fancy dress of some description and a meal in the evening.

We went up to Edinburgh this weekend and had our pre-wedding shoot with the photographer (which went really well and there were some great pics), my hair and make up trial (which I loved!!) and our menu tasting (which was brilliant too). It is so exciting.

My to do list is very small now :) I need to have my dress alterations (only needs taking up) and having that done next weekend (with a hang over after my hen do haha), we need to finalise our table plan, get the remainder of our guests menu choices and sort out our play list. Also need to order the badge button holes and burn a CD of the music we want in the ceremony.

How is everyone else's planning coming along? Not long to go now!

Yeah she's not being very organised. Im more unimpressed that she hasn't been on a diet and in fact has put weight on rather than lost it so now her dress looks stupid! She's on a major diet now so im hoping in 4 weeks it'll fit argh!

Mine fits though so i'm awesome :D

I love the to do list is minimal now! Literally last bits and what have you! Mind you i put together a to do list for the week before the wedding and that now looks manic! Eeeeek! :)

    Hey ladies,

You both sounds super organised. We're having a bit of a wedding organising evening to write a final to-do-list. My aim is to have it all done by the end of March so that April only consists of those bits that crop up and the running around that is the norm for wedding prep.

Jenna I had an issue with bridesmaid when trying on dresses originally - one wanted to get a size smaller as she could squeeze into it (by squeeze I mean it stopped her from breathing and looked like it was a lycra outfit!) I had to put my foot down and explain i'm spending £150 on a dress that doesnt' fit her right now in hope that she loses weight. I am glad I did because she hasn't lost any and if anything perhaps may have put a bit on.

I met with florist last night, we've to pop to barn where our reception is held but most decisions have now been made. Very exciting, nice thing is her mother is our cake maker so I know that the day venue wise is all in hand :)

Where are you off to hen night wise Jenna? Mine isn't until two weekends before wedding (chief bridesmaid lives in Australia) and I haven't a clue about any of it - total suprise!

    xx

Choc-assict she done that too! Asked me to get her a 16 and i ordered a 22 which fit last year in Dec. She's since put weight on so it looks silly, tbh it won't look bad on me but i hope she loses enough that the dress fits since she's standing beside super small size 12's. I'm a 16-18 anyway so it won't look massively out of place its more that because shes put weight on the dress is now 3-4 inches off the floor and is noticeable when together. It'll be fine im sure...

We're off to Newcastle, going to a show called the Boulevard and a UV/Neon night at Bambu (assuming we aren't falling over by then!) lol

Ah, lets hope she doesn't go into labour!!

I really don't mind what shape or size my bridesmaids are, what I do mind though is forking out £150 for something that doesn't actually fit! Hence my firm stand on ordering the right size. I had to point out that it's all relavant really with bridal sizes - my wedding dress is a size bigger than what I am in the shops but I don't care - as long as it fits nicely that's what matters. I have a few adjustments to be made but nothing major and if i'd gone for the size smaller then I would have had to ensure I lost a bit of weight - i'm no good on diets :rotfl:

Hen night sounds good...let us know how it goes!

Yay, just one month to go! I am so excited :)

Got my hen do this weekend too. My BM has done it all and I have no idea what is planned. Eeeekkk lol.

Also sorted our table plan last night; I had been doing lots of variations over the last couple of weeks and not found the right combination. OH has a go and gets it sorted within half an hour on his second attempt! ggrrr. Glad it is done but wish he wasn't so smug about it haha

I've got my night out hen do next week, and then another 'weekend' hen thing the weekend after - I know nothing about any of them! Looking forward to it though.

I think I am going to let my other half do the table plan too Em, he is more ruthless than me and won't worry so much!

I can't believe it's only a month to go! I am getting so very excited! :j
:) Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often! :p
