Sadly the pump is already at 3.
With the heating on, readings are:
GT1 Off 34.8 Now 31.7
GT2 12.5
GT3 Tgt 52, Now 55.6
GT6 76.1
GT8 45.9
GT9 32.2
GT10 3.8
GT11 0.7
No idea about room sensors, I do have a thermostat for the UFH but there is no GT50 -
OK, we need to look a bit further into this.
Open the K2 menu.
Give me all the readings from menu 4 and menu 7.
From your info, I cannot see that you have a room sensor installed (GT5). Is that correct?
Also details from 1.3 through the different settings.
For anyone reading this in the future, press and hold the heat button to get the K2 menu up.
4.1 00:00 - 00:00 all days
4.1.1 0.0
4.3 00:00 - 00:00 all days
7.1 15138h
7.2 9% DHW 91% RAD
7.3 289h0 -
The % values are too different. They should be in the region of 20/80%.
Turn the timer off for DHW from say 2100-0600 each day. Suggest you also reduce the DHW temp to either 50C or 48C, as those are normally quite enough.
Additional heat is high, as do not think I have more than about 20hrs in 10 years.
Can you also give me all the settings from menu 1.3. I also need the setting from the heat button, which will be from 0-10.
Will you also check if the 3 way valve is operating correctly from the I/S menu.As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Thanks lovesgshp. Could the % be a result of a large house & not much hot water being used (normally just 1 or 2 showers a day) or is it way off?
Does the machine need to be doing anything special before I do those readings (ie heating on, water off?)? How do I check the 3 way valve is working correctly?0 -

The DHW seems quite low, as would expect it to be in the 20/80% range.
You just need to go into the I/S menu again and select manual operation and you can check the 3 way valve is operating. As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Manually activating the 3 way valve says 'OK' and the machine hums for a few seconds. I then pressed deactivate afterwards - hope this was the right thing to do!
I have pressurised the red vessel to about 14 PSI / almost 1 bar - was aiming for half of this but it moved too quickly.
Heat is 6.5.
My 1.3 settings are:
Out Curve
20 25
15 30.2
10 34.4
5 39.4
0 40.8
-5 46.0
-10 51.2
-15 56.4
-20 61.6
-25 66.8
-30 72.0
-35 77.20 -
Hi.
The settings in 1.3 appear to have been increased until you get to 0c. i.e @ 20c outside the system is asking for 25c heat. On the simulator that I have put your settings in, it is 20c.
Can you check the external circulating pump speeds, as if they are lower, then they could be restricting the flow rates.
You also need to have at least 70% of all the heating circuit fully open.
As long as you are not using a Apple comp, then I can email you the simulator. As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure what you mean.
Is the increase in 1.3 a good or a bad thing? Are you suggesting these are changed, and if so, to what?
How do I check the external circulating pump speeds?
Most of my radiators are fully on.0 -

It was a observation, as the simulator @ 6.5 was showing some different settings. Don't worry about that for the moment.

Because you have a buffer tank, then there is probably another circulating pump in the circuit, quite possibly close to the buffer tank. It may well be a Grundfoss, so the speed settings will be the same type of 1/2/3.
Most of my radiators are fully on.
OK fine. Can you scroll back through the alarms menu in K2 to see how long this HTF delta has been going on for?As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
There's a circulating pump above the tall cylindrical tank on the very right; this is set to 3 out of 3.
I've turned every radiator on to full.
The alarm has gone off about 50 times in the last 24 hours; this problem has apparently being going on for over a year.0
