Hi ! I have an IVT HT Plus C7M G3 and wanted to know if there is minimum hot water temp setting I should have set ? I wanted to limit the kWh it uses per day - or does this not make much difference to the running cost ? Also, does the IVT keep a register of kWh used ?0

How did it go las weekend?
Fingers crossed new capacitors get fitted this weekend, the error is happening hourly now!0 -
It makes a little difference, but not enough in my experience to worry too much about unless you've got it set crazy hot. Water needs to be at 60degC to kill legionella, which is unrealistically high for me, so I have mine set to 50deg as that's a good compromise of efficiency vs not having enough hot water if we have guests. The temp rises to 51deg when it's heated and drops to 49deg over 12-13Hrs (assuming no usage) and takes 15mins to heat back up, so it's not using much to maintain. Do note though that I have an E, but I am assuming the insulation on the tank in the C is similar to the E.JHen1 said:Hi ! No, there's no log of kWh as such, but it does log usage so you can always them multiply that by the compressor power (approx 2kw for you) to get kWh.1 -

Unfortunatley the capcitors got delayed with the postal strikes. However they got fitted this morning at 11am. Not wanting to count my chickens too early - but so far to 7pm all up and running and no error codes! You may well have saved me ££££'s
We have not tested the old ones year for fear of being fried. Have left them on the side for a bit longer.

Fingers crossed then. Actually one of the caps would be Ok to test as it's got a drain resistor across the terminals.lstevensuk said:

Don't get too excited just yet though. The compressor probably hasn't been on much, if at all, if it's as warm where you are as it is here.0
