  • Thanks Beardymarrow. The GT10/GT11 on HP1 where I changed the sensor is now -0.1 and -3.6 whilst on HP2, it is 0.5 and -3.2.  When the weather improves, I shall have a look at the two outdoor sensors to see why one is reading so high. Thanks again one and all.
  • Hello
I wonder if anyone can provide some guidance.I have a Greenline IVT GSHP with a system based on two pumps and a buffer tank. I have an Electrical Cassette error on one of the tanks, with further information provided as shown in the pictures below. Is this something that needs me to get someone in to look at it, or easily fixable? If so any recommendations for GSHP engineers in Surrey
If I acknowledge the alarm it returns within a couple of seconds.

  • Very easy fix indeed :-) You just need to reset either the circuit breaker within the unit, or the overheat protection on the cassette itself. If it keeps happening after you've reset them you have another problem (usually low flow across the pump), but try that first of all. Check Page 35 on the manual

The overheat reset button on the cassette is very stiff, but you'll definitely feel it click back.
I've done this recently (happened when the particle filter was blocked).

Thanks for this - it did seem to clear it, although with one recurrence this week. I'll keep an eye on it.
I'll see if I can work out how to check the particle filter - assume fairly easy looking at the manual
  • I need help with our Greenline IVT. Yesterday there was planned electrical works up the road and we had no power for 4 hours. When the power came back on we had the below alarm stating 3 phase incorrect connection, we have 3 phase coming into our house as it is a large house. I checked all the trip switches, rebooted the pump, turned off all the switches and all back on again and after 4 attempts every time I get same message. So I phoned southern electric who said maybe one of the phases is down, they sent a guy out last night and he checked our electricity and stated we were definitely receiving all 3 phases, there advice is to get an electrician! So I am trying to get an electrician in. But does anyone know why this would happen? Also in 12 years I have never had this error, so clearly something they have done has caused this, does anyone know why or have any advice?
  • Hi, I haven't any direct experience of 3-phase, but my best guess would be that the phases as they come into your house are in a different order to what they were before. So, you can either pay an electrician to swap them over on your GSHP, or you can get Southern Electric out to resolve. Looks like they are right and that you are receiving all 3 phases, but if they are in the incorrect order it can cause 3 phase motors to operate in reverse, which is why the GSHP won't run. My vote would be get Southern Electric out, as it's them that have changed something (or at least to prove that they are in the correct order). Now, it's perfectly possible I suppose that the original connection order was wrong (but was swapped to accommodate that on your GSHP), and they have fixed it.
  • My electrical cassette error has happened a further four times this week even after resetting, suggesting an underlying issue - I assume cleaning the particle filter is the first thing to try.
I have a Greenline HT Plus C - the manual says that filter is located on the outside of the pump. Being a complete novice I want to check that I have the right valve before proceeding - would it be the one in the picture below? There appears to be only one for both heat pumps, would this be correct, as the error is only affecting one of them

  • Hello
This is my first post so here goes ! I wanted some advice  about  problem I have with my worcester greenstore c11 gshp ,it has been running for nearly thirteen years now with only a few minor problems but during resent cold spells I have been getting LP low pressure alarm, all the surgested causes from the manual  have been checked .  I called an engineer believing it to be a refrigeration problem.,the end result of the visit was possible oil migration from the compressor blocking the expansion valve  due in part to cold ground loop and previous high delta alarms  ,service hours  ,recommendation is to change TEV and possibly compressor , an adjustment was made to the TEV which did work for a short while but now it will run for around 4 hours before fault reappears , just wandered if anyone has had any similar problems ? before I take the next step of replacement or repair .
    Thanks in advance

Yeah, that's it, but I would have expected one for each pump. Mine is an E which has that filter inside the pump, but it also has an externally fitted one, so there might be another one on yours too.

I'm sorry but I've not had any problems with that side of things. When you say cold groundloop and high delta alarms, what temps were you getting?
If there was oil migration, then you'd expect to be able to detect that in the TEV. Fingers crossed it's the TEV not the compressor as the compressor will be about £2k
