If you get as far as them actually being in stock it's an achievement. Usually Debenhams accept my orders then cancel 90% of the items 24 hours later

There is no need to use free del codes....it is standard free del at the minute.

Can I also just add, that I have never had an issue with Debenhams orders. I've always had my orders honoured and delivered in a very timely manner. However, I did have an issue with one of their customer service reps last month, very shouty on the phone and quite rude but other than that no problems.

I am entitled to the free delivery as a gold card holder and they are always cancelling orders, it's because of their useless online stock checker. They always sell way more than they have. ;)
  • This seems to be a good price http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_171010353599_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Sale~Kids equivalent in ELC is the Sherwood Castle at £20 same kind of set up:o

Hermes do suck. We ordered a calendar from debs (it had tracking) and some things from BHS that didn't (so we didn't know what courier it was). The calendar was out for delivery yesterday, and I was home all day, didn't play music, didn't do anything loud so I'd be sure to hear the door in case they bypassed call-boxes in our flats. Finally in the evening I checked the tracking and it said it had been "delivered to a secure location" shortly after noon! Turns out he had left both the debs and bhs packages by our front door! He must've either not knocked or done a light 'n' lazy one-knuckle rap and just left the stuff! All the worse when you consider we have not one but two intercoms he has to pass that if he called he would've rang our home phone (he must know gate codes by now or followed someone in).

I'd still order from Debs though, but maybe not for just a calendar again -- many couriers have lazy, sloppy handling of deliveries. Not much to do about it. If you can get into a store to collect, though, that may be a better idea.
